It’s Wednesday, so don’t forget Ajissun and the folks in The Gambia.
Anyone else?
Psalm 29
A psalm of David.
1 Ascribe to the Lord, you heavenly beings,
ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.
2 Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name;
worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness.
3 The voice of the Lord is over the waters;
the God of glory thunders,
the Lord thunders over the mighty waters.
4 The voice of the Lord is powerful;
the voice of the Lord is majestic.
5 The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars;
the Lord breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.
6 He makes Lebanon leap like a calf,
Sirion like a young wild ox.
7 The voice of the Lord strikes
with flashes of lightning.
8 The voice of the Lord shakes the desert;
the Lord shakes the Desert of Kadesh.
9 The voice of the Lord twists the oaks
and strips the forests bare.
And in his temple all cry, “Glory!”
10 The Lord sits enthroned over the flood;
the Lord is enthroned as King forever.
11 The Lord gives strength to his people;
the Lord blesses his people with peace.
So thankful for our cooler weather and some rain so that the firefighters could, at least, partially get the fires contained.

Husband took four young people to Boise to help build a gazebo for his sister. Praying they will come home refreshed and ready for school (the younger two), ready to be nice (one of the twenties), and no more injury to his neck but more bonded to the family (other twenty). Oh, and that husband survive.

Mumsee, I’m so glad the other twenty is involved. I’d been under the impression he was on his own and no longer in your sphere of influence. Didn’t he join the military?

Kevin, he is in the National Guard. They were activated for Covid vaccines for the past year but that has stopped so he is back to working for local farmers. That is on hold due to a car accident he had a couple weeks ago. He fractured a vertebrate in his neck and got some bumps and bruises. Burned up his car. For the past year he has been in contact, visits the house often, eats out with husband in Lewiston, etc. He has come home and helped on several projects. He says the accident helped him to learn where his real friends and support are. God is working.

That is so good to hear, Mumsee. (Not the accident part. I did see the picture of that you mentioned a couple weeks ago. Wow!)

Let’s pray for DJ. I haven’t seen her around today. Even if everything is fine, some prayer certainly can’t hurt. (And if all is not fine, then it can help.)

Jo, yes.
Kizzie, even if everything is fine, it can help. We are not yet perfected.

True, Mumsee.
Btw, DJ told me that she had her eyes dilated today so she was staying off of screens for a while. 🙂

So sad, Kathaleena. I have two sympathy cards to mail tomorrow to those who have lost family members to Covid.
