Prayer Requests 8-14-21

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 12

A psalm of David.

Help, Lord, for no one is faithful anymore;
    those who are loyal have vanished from the human race.
Everyone lies to their neighbor;
    they flatter with their lips
    but harbor deception in their hearts.

May the Lord silence all flattering lips
    and every boastful tongue—
those who say,
    “By our tongues we will prevail;
    our own lips will defend us—who is lord over us?”

“Because the poor are plundered and the needy groan,
    I will now arise,” says the Lord.
    “I will protect them from those who malign them.”
And the words of the Lord are flawless,
    like silver purified in a crucible,
    like gold refined seven times.

You, Lord, will keep the needy safe
    and will protect us forever from the wicked,
who freely strut about
    when what is vile is honored by the human race.

  1. I would like to ask prayer for my family. I learned on my church prayer chain that my son in law and his parents all have covid. That is all that I know.
    They all live in the same house with my daughter, his wife, and their two children, 16 and 14.
    I believe two cousins are also there now. It is the county fair and their coffee shop has a trolley where they sell coffee drinks. I had heard that all of the four kids were going to be working there. But, I know God is good and will use this for good in my family. I will try and call someone in the morning.

  2. My prayer request today is for me. I am fast approaching burn out. This market, while great for me financially is starting to take its toll.
    Not only am I trying to keep my own deals between the rails, I have agents who need to keep theirs between the rails.
    One agent in particular always seems to get the strangest situations and doesn’t seem to understand what I tell her to do. Yesterday she required two of us to be involved. She just doesn’t “get it”. Buyers are crazy. Sellers are crazy. Agents are crazy, egotistical, and mean and I’m not far behind them.

  3. I finally heard from a friend. They are all home and their lungs are clear. Chuck, the grandfather, is weak and they are concerned. Thanks for praying.

  4. I survived yesterday. Thank you.
    My listing that is under contract is scheduled to foreclose this fall. One of the stepdaughters is 17 so she cannot legally sign for the stepmother to sell. It’s a hot mess.
    Buyer has a bad case of Fear Of Missing Out, and is picking apart the house she has under contract.
    Mr P got up with Amos around 4 or so, let him out, medicated him, and shut the bedroom door so I could sleep until 6. That helped a lot.
    He is getting closer to ready. I am not. I brought him home in October of 2008. If you feel like praying for that please do.

    In other news, with the Delta Covid and two tropical storms, and RSV Little Miss is probably not starting preschool next week. She is so ready to be around other children.

  5. Prayers about Amos and other blog member’s pets getting older and more feeble.

    My friend in CA has C diff (shortened name for a bacterial bad gut infection). Please pray her high power Vancomycin can get rid of it with no reoccurrence. An antibiotic taken for a root canal allowed C diff to rampage in her body.

    My other friend, K, is not doing well, either, from her heart failure issues. I told her I am juggling prayers lately.

    A church friend’s brother has been in ICU with Covid pneumonia. He’s had the infusion. I hope to hear later today that he is improving.

    So far I have not heard of anyone in my church getting Delta, PTL. Most are fully vaccinated.

  6. Change of plans. I will go into town to pick thirteen year old up from work. Husband will go on from town to Lewiston to pick up twenty year old from the ER. Seems he was on his way to visit his son, fell asleep, went down an embankment, partially ejected since he did not have a seatbelt on, burned the car to a crisp along with his phone and keys to his camper. The ER nurse called to say he had abrasions and bruising and a cracked vertebrae in the neck but nothing serious. Children….

  7. :O A couple of cracked vertebrae sounds serious to me.

    A guy in my husband’s jam group actually just fell asleep at the wheel, too, and demolished his truck. He just had horrible seatbelt injuries. So glad neither accident was worse.

    My BIL called at three in the morning about breaking a toe. I told him that they were not going to do much with it and he could take a pain reliever and wait for the morning. He told me it wasn’t painful, but he couldn’t walk on it. That was when he told me he had already called other people. Who? One was his pastor who failed to answer. He is always very good about responding so I am assuming he didn’t hear a cell phone. He also said he called ER. Turns out that was 911. He lives in a senior building that has locked doors at night. He told me he didn’t know what to do because he heard knocking on the door downstairs through his window on the seventh floor, but he couldn’t let them in. The short of it is that they were at his door while we were still talking. I am not sure why he thought a building (actually 3 combined buildings) would be inaccessible to the residents. Or why he thought he needed an ambulance for a broken toe. He panics and it will cost him a lot of money for those three blocks to the hospital. My husband was called a few hours later to pick him up. He didn’t seen to want him to come earlier. He does very well with hospitals etc. I just thanked God it was nothing worse.
