Who would have ever thought that we would see the day when we have US government agencies actually mandating an experimental gene therapy injection for employees.
“When tyranny becomes law, rebellion becomes duty.”
—T. Jefferson
“The Department of Veterans Affairs will require its health care employees to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, becoming the first major federal agency to implement such a mandate.”
“Leading Democrats and Republicans have encouraged Americans to get a vaccine, although Republicans largely oppose forced vaccination while many Democrats support it. Civil rights advocates have raised concerns about forced shots, and some employees who work for companies that mandated vaccinations have sued. The legal battles continue.
After one NFL player questioned whether he would keep playing in the league due to the league’s strict policies, Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) said on July 24 that he supports Americans’ right to choose.
“No one should be pressured, coerced or subjected to reprisal for refusing a medical treatment, including the COVID vaccine,” he said in a statement.”
But hey, nothing newsworthy in that laptop, right?
REPORT: VP Joe Biden kept private e-mail addresses from which he would sometimes forward and receive government correspondence using multiple pseudonyms, Hunter Biden’s laptop showshttps://t.co/1lXn3ae1qa
Of course. Same as Hillary. I would bet Obama’s whole cabinet had private email addresses which they used for government correspondence and transfer of classified information.
Why it’s almost like there’s a double standard at play here.
The FBI arrested exactly zero of the mob who attacked my wife and me. Meanwhile every day the FBI arrests anybody and everybody who came to DC on January 6th. Double standard? You bet!
During her first visit to the southern border since taking office, Vice President Kamala Harris said the Biden administration is making "extreme progress" in addressing the surge in migrants from Central America.@EenaRuffini has the latest. pic.twitter.com/A0nuXwmTAl
Wow. 20,000 apprehensions in *one week* down in the Rio Grande Valley sector. That’s the capacity of STAPLES Center.
This is not seasonal migration, it is not slowing down in the heat, and there is no “extreme progress” being made, as the administration has claimed. https://t.co/3QEVjIynDj
Border Patrol agents & LEOs are so frustrated. Agents tell us morale has never been lower. Many have privately told us us that they feel they’ve been turned into social workers or a welcoming committee. They also say you can expect a surge on top of a surge when Title 42 ends.
Tychicus — the ship on medical freedom has sailed. Corporate and workplace rules have long allowed employers to demand medical information and exams prior to hiring (to keep insurance companies happy and premiums low). Drug testing is demanded under the guise of workplace safety. Other vaccines (childhood, hep B, etc) are already demanded by schools, health insurance, etc. A covid vaccine will be seen as something similar to the above.
I do enjoy the irony of Republicans advocating a pro-choice argument in medical treatment. Not to mention, the demand for medical information on White House staff by right wing reporters while their colleagues demand medical freedom…
Not surprised Biden et al use different email addresses etc. Clinton did. And Trump did the same; he even used his personal out of date android phone. Not too mention the access Jared Kushner had despite raising security flags. Rules are always meant for someone else.
I’be been checking the Covid stats lately — the US has been in the top 5 for new cases for awhile now. Yesterday it led the world with 35 000 new cases inching back up to April numbers. Strangely two days ago Florida led the nation in new cases but yesterday had none; reporting is sporadic. The messaging and repetitive tweets is suspicious but there’s no doubt the US is being hit again.
I have a hard time taking the poll seriously — are we sure people heard the Jr part of the Trump candidate? People used to joke about Trump Sr on adderall but the commentary on Jr’s videos feature cocaine jokes. With Sr. I don’t think its adderall rather aging/cognitive decline but with Jr I am reminded of an extremely high individual you would meet in club or party. He’s clearly stoned. DeSantis seems to be the front runner for the Trump crowd despite Florida’s appalling Covid numbers (even Coumo is losing his luster) Mitch McConnell’s 2% rating is amusing — nobody likes the guy yet.
For the FBI the Jan 6th rioters are low hanging fruit — it was done in daylight, it was streamed on social media by the rioters, no one hid their face, most still had location enabled on their phone, and even bragged about it when they got home. Don’t see the same clues dropped by the crowd around Rand.
Not to diminish the fear felt by Rand and his wife but the mob had him surrounded with only two cops in the way yet other than verbal abuse they did not physically attack him. Meanwhile the Jan 6th crowd had a hanging stand all ready for Pence and were carrying plastic tie ups. With the Rand mob I get the sense, the interaction was purely coincidental and once they surrounded the couple the mob had no real plan. However, the Jan 6th had a plan and a motivation.
The tik tok LA video is too short to show anything. Regardless, homeless people is the result of capitalism which pushes housing costs too high for people working low paying jobs. In an era of high inequality, housing costs will outstrip the bottom wage earners. In addition, a policy of excluding those with a criminal record from housing assistance leaves them nowhere to go but the streets. As for the EV charger — a nice bit of irony but also illustrative of how champagne liberalism/socialism is so far removed from “real” working class socialism
I just noticed your Covid tweet used the death rate not the new cases rate. Deaths have yet to increase but there’s generally a two week lag from new cases to increased death rates. The new variant is also weaker but that doesn’t mean hospitalization rates aren’t increasing. And obviously the vaccinated will be hit harder.
I’ve seen the Hunter video of him stoned on coke…..i didnt know theree was a sex tape but i tend to ignore luird made for tabloid stories. However Hunter is no longer on coke but Don Jr is making speeches and thinks he’s a presidential candidate (based on family ties?) and he’s stoned.
A different view on Biden and China then Ive seen here;
The WH source says the specific language for the CDC recommendation is still being finalized and that the recommendation may land only on fully vaccinated people wearing masks indoors when out in public if living with immunocompromised people.
Nope. Not masking around my kids, nor will anyone else. This is insipid madness. A grand total of 337 people under age 18 have died with covid during this pandemic, and that includes many with serious underlying conditions. That subgroup includes 75+ million Americans. https://t.co/Il9o6nAxiu
The wide dispersion in models forecasting the Delta wave, released by CDC, are deeply disappointing and not actionable. The huge variance in the estimates shows CDC doesn’t know how to model this wave, and has little practical idea whether we’re at beginning, middle, or end 1/n pic.twitter.com/FJvcjw6hVO

The CDC’s models on Delta wave underscore this point. For the week ending August 14, CDC estimates there will be either an average of 10K infections a day, or more than 100K. Either the infection wave will be largely subsiding, or will be raging out of control. The CDC isn’t sure pic.twitter.com/rci9ZB3xhR

A week ago, Neil Ferguson confidently predicted daily cases would top 100,000 a day in Great Britain and maybe reach 200,000. Since then, cases have dropped like a rock. Now, he says it may be over by October. What a flipflopping fraud.https://t.co/EKljsrkiwj

House GOP conference chair Elise Stefanik: “The American people deserve to know the truth. That Nancy Pelosi bears responsibility, as speaker of the House, for the tragedy that occurred on Jan. 6.” pic.twitter.com/24IXfoMPrI
She should be called as a witness and put under oath. 🙂
Pelosi is in charge of security at the Capitol. She turned down additional security. The point of a commission is literally to find security breakdowns and fix them. The idea that the person in charge of security at the Capitol bears no responsibility for the failures is crazy. https://t.co/yoph2LeeN8
Mask wearing will probably the last protocol removed by public health — its just too easy to implement. I also think my province will keep it implemented in public schools. Its easier and cheaper than modernizing the HVAC systems. And as a side benefit they can blame teachers for any outbreak since we obviously didn’t implement the protocols properly.
Its hard to make predictions when the spread of a disease is contingent upon human behaviour. So far the 7 day average does resemble January in the UK with a slight dip this week; too early to celebrate but well within the narrower range projected by models
From what I remember the Capitol police and mayor requested the National Guard (overseen by the White House) but were turned down by Pompeo, I believe. In any event — if Republicans are so confident that its Pelosi, they could have had a Senate cmttee and could be participating in the House cmttee — instead of Jordan, McCarthy could have appointed himself, demanded Pelosi be a witness, and ask the right questions. Instead they grandstand in front of the media.
I’m amused that of the hundreds arrested so far; almost all have been Trump supporters yet some still think it wasn’t a Trump inspired storming of the capitol.
hwesseli @10:49: The experimental gene therapy injections are not vaccines (which is also clear b/c they have already walked back the ‘effectiveness’ of the jabs), and cannot be forced on people (see Nuremberg Code). Furthermore, why force the injections, hide the true side effects and deaths if you are truly seeking to save lives?
Yes, pro-choice in medical treatment, but not when it involves the taking the life of another (i believe it was abortion that you were hinting at in mentioning ‘irony’). Any civilized society restricts the individual’s freedom to choose whenever that choice would harm an innocent person. The real question is, “Freedom to choose what?”
Here’s an irony for you: the choice of abortion assures that in the US at least 650,000 females each year don’t have the right to choose what they do with their bodies. A female killed by abortion no longer has a life, a choice, or a body to exercise control over.
Earlier today former Senator Barbara Boxer was assaulted in the Jack London Square neighborhood of Oakland. The assailant pushed her in the back, stole her cell phone and jumped in a waiting car. She is thankful that she was not seriously injured."
