Prayer Requests 7-23-21

It’s Friday, so please remember to pray for Mumsee, Mike, and the Nestlings.

Anyone else?

Psalm 143

A psalm of David.

Lord, hear my prayer,
    listen to my cry for mercy;
   in your faithfulness and righteousness
    come to my relief.
Do not bring your servant into judgment,
    for no one living is righteous before you.
The enemy pursues me,
    he crushes me to the ground;
   he makes me dwell in the darkness
    like those long dead.
So my spirit grows faint within me;
    my heart within me is dismayed.
I remember the days of long ago;
    I meditate on all your works
    and consider what your hands have done.
I spread out my hands to you;
    I thirst for you like a parched land.

Answer me quickly, Lord;
    my spirit fails.
   Do not hide your face from me
    or I will be like those who go down to the pit.
Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,
    for I have put my trust in you.
   Show me the way I should go,
    for to you I entrust my life.
Rescue me from my enemies, Lord,
    for I hide myself in you.
10 Teach me to do your will,
    for you are my God;
   may your good Spirit
    lead me on level ground.

11 For your name’s sake, Lord, preserve my life;
    in your righteousness, bring me out of trouble.
12 In your unfailing love, silence my enemies;
    destroy all my foes,
    for I am your servant.

  1. Please pray for Grace and her mom. 11-years-old, Grace is slated to go to Christian sleep-away camp with my Adorable 11 on Sunday. Mom is getting cold feet about letting her go since she’s never been away from home before. I don’t think either are believers, Grace is interested. We see this as spiritual warfare.

  2. Over our many years together, I’ve occasionally shared and asked for prayer for family members lost in a Yoga-based cult for, now, 50 years.

    One of the women has begun to see the light, has walked away from the community, stopped wearing a turban, and is seriously thinking of legally changing her name back to the original birth name.

    She’s seeing a counselor experienced with people leaving cults.

    Thanks be to God. I never thought I’d see this day.

    Please pray for C to return to the Lord she learned about as a child.

    Her sister is pretty much lost to demons and Alzheimer’s, which played a role in shaking her up.

    But, mostly, it was finally recognizing what the cult did to her now adult children.

    We’re just loving her— which is what we’ve always tried to do to her and her family.

  3. Lifting those requests to God, Michelle. Also lifting your daughter, Roscuro, Cheryl’s daughter, Nightingale, and others in the medical field who have had such a rough time in their medical fields that may be about to get worse with this Delta virus. So much to pray about.
