  1. There is a weird tree in the middle of that picture.
I started to mention it yesterday.
How does a tree get bent like that/

  2. Oh you mean on their phone made by the Chinese?

    Yeah…… NO!

“Tim Cook wants Americans to be able to vote on their iPhones

Would you feel comfortable voting via iPhone?

Apple CEO Tim Cook suggested that concept in a new interview with The New York Times, published just days after Cook joined a growing coalition of business leaders who criticized a restrictive new Georgia voting law.

“I would dream of that, because I think that’s where we live,” Cook said when Swisher asked if the tech would be the answer to some modern voting issues, like fraud. “We do our banking on phones. We have our health data on phones. We have more information on a phone about us than is in our houses. And so why not?”

America’s voting systems are notoriously low-tech, which stands in glaring contrast to modern systems of banking, commerce, and healthcare.

“It’s pretty arcane,” Cook said of America’s voting apparatus. “I think we’re probably all having the wrong conversation on voting rights. We should be talking about using technology.”

Sure. As long as it’s not made by the Chinese, like your product.

  4. No, this isn’t from the Babylon Bee… the insanity has to stop!

    Whatever happened to women’s rights?

“Since January, 261 California prison inmates have requested transfers to prisons aligning with their gender identity, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation told the Daily Caller News Foundation Tuesday.

Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed S.B. 132 into law in January, a bill that requires the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) to ask every individual entering the department’s custody to specify their pronouns, their gender identity, and whether they identify as transgender, nonbinary, or intersex.

The law prevents CDCR from disciplining the individual if that individual refuses to give this information, allows for the information to be updated later on, and requires staff to use the gender pronouns that the individual requested.

It also requires that CDCR house the individual in a “correctional facility designated for men or women based on the individual’s preference.” Similar legislation has been passed in Connecticut and Massachusetts.

Since the bill went into effect in January, 261 inmates have requested “gender-based housing” transfers, the CDCR told the DCNF Tuesday. The vast majority of these requests were from inmates requesting to be transferred to female facilities, and only six inmates did not request to be in a women’s facility.

“255 are from transgender women and non-binary incarcerated people who are requesting to be housed in a female institution and six are from transgender men and non-binary incarcerated people who are requesting to be housed in a male institution,” Deputy Press Secretary Terry Thornton told the DCNF.

CDCR has not denied a single gender-based housing request, the spokesman confirmed.”

  5. On Tuesday, when it was officially announced that the Rockies would host the 91st edition of the Midsummer Classic on July 13, an enthusiastic Gov. Jared Polis couldn’t resist breaking out the baseball metaphors. He said Colorado was “swinging for the fences,” adding he expects COVID-19 to be under control and players to perform before a “fully packed stadium.” (Currently, attendance is limited to 42% of capacity).
So this ridiculous governor is so stinkin’ giddy over snatching the game and he has had our state on lockdown for over a year…extending wearing the maaasks every month, putting the thumb screws to small businesses. And miraculously Covid will not be a problem come July 13th. He will “allow” a fully packed stadium. Let us all understand this will be a financial boon for our state and especially Denver…100 million dollars worth. And we have been so impacted terribly by this pandemic that this is huge for our region. Oh please…and there are those who voted for him drinking in the manipulation still….stupid people!

  6. While visiting Costco yesterday, I stopped to ask if they sold any phones NOT made in China. (I’ve had it with Apple, though I love their phones).

He suggested a Samsung Galaxy made in Korea.

    I’m seriously considering it.

It won’t play, however, with my Ipad.

So, I may have to purchase the matching Galaxy version.

It’s a small move for me, but a helpful one for many living in China.

  7. I once had an LG phone which I liked very much but it wasn’t too comparable with other devices…it was made in S Korea and some even made in Vietnam….I am rethinking all my tech connections at this point and may just go back in time….
Tychicus that is a very disturbing report you posted. So men will identify as women so that they can have sex with the women….and there are no thinking people in charge 😢

  8. Call it what it was, a cowardly murder of an unarmed woman by a cowardly officer.

And still no cause of death for Sicknick.

  10. Tim Cook has the right idea but the wrong mechanism and company. Obviously he wants it with his company but privatizing the vote is definietely the wrong idea. Several countries have tried online voting — mostly countries with a smaller population and a simpler ballot. However, it may be an option moving forward but not as an app rather a secure website.
As for apple products, I avoid them. My daughter uses a Mac for art school but I’m happy with a Samsung Galaxy and a Chromebook — androids both.
