Prayer Requests 3-30-21

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 48

Great is the Lord, and most worthy of praise,
    in the city of our God, his holy mountain.

Beautiful in its loftiness,
    the joy of the whole earth,
   like the heights of Zaphon is Mount Zion,
    the city of the Great King.
God is in her citadels;
    he has shown himself to be her fortress.

When the kings joined forces,
    when they advanced together,
they saw her and were astounded;
    they fled in terror.
Trembling seized them there,
    pain like that of a woman in labor.
You destroyed them like ships of Tarshish
    shattered by an east wind.

As we have heard,
    so we have seen
   in the city of the Lord Almighty,
    in the city of our God:
   God makes her secure
    forever.

Within your temple, O God,
    we meditate on your unfailing love.
10 Like your name, O God,
    your praise reaches to the ends of the earth;
    your right hand is filled with righteousness.
11 Mount Zion rejoices,
    the villages of Judah are glad
    because of your judgments.

12 Walk about Zion, go around her,
    count her towers,
13 consider well her ramparts,
    view her citadels,
   that you may tell of them
    to the next generation.

14 For this God is our God for ever and ever;
    he will be our guide even to the end.

  2. An update from my friend, Franz’ aunt:

    Franz update:
    So much has happened since I last posted! Franz is free of his collar and trach.

    He is now in a VA hospital in California, much closer to family than Colorado. Still no feeling or movement below the chest or with his hands, but he is adapting and learning to work with what he has. Two upcoming surgeries on his hips because they have fused to his femurs.

    We continue to pray for healing and wisdom for all of his medical team. And we pray for Franz that he keeps fighting the good fight. He is an inspiration to our family, friends, and all those he meets.

    Thank you all so much for your continued prayers for Franz and his family. ❤️

  3. Heavenly Father, please go ahead of Roscuro into this time of surgery and recovery. Bless the medical team for the whole time to be feeling well and at their best. I pray for diligence in safety precautions so as to not spread infection. Please make it evident to the surgeon how to proceed moment to moment for optimum benefit. I ask that Roscuro be given an extra portion of faith and trust in You and Your loving goodness as she goes through this necessary surgery. I pray that it will give excellent resolution to the symptoms she has suffered from. Please give her patience and wisdom in all her encounters with medical staff. She is use to
    being in the opposite role so I pray she won’t be concerned about being a burden when she needs help. It is her turn to be the patient. You know her better than anyone else, Lord, so I ask that You bless her in all the areas You see needs. Bless her family as they wait and pray during surgery and recovery. May all her meds be effective. Please, may the proper levels of anesthesia be determined and may she not have nausea from it if possible. Please surprise everyone with the ease of this surgery and with the quickest recovery ever. All in Your will I pray, in the name of Jesus, Amen

  4. I’m praying for you, Roscuro.

    Michelle, praying for Franz. I don’t know what it is, but even though I don’t know him, I tear up with each update. Something about what he’s going through resonates (not sure that’s the appropriate word) with me.

    RKessler, thank you. There don’t appear to be any lingering effects my husband is having from the covid except for perhaps more tiredness. He pretty much goes to bed right after he gets home from work at night (8:00, 8:30 approximately) instead of working in the garage for a few hours after work like he used to. Of course he does get up around 4:00 or 4:30am, so he’s getting about 8 hours of sleep, which is what I consider normal (at least for me), whereas he used to function on 5-6 hours of sleep each night.
