Prayer Requests 3-13-21

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 34

I will extol the Lord at all times;
    his praise will always be on my lips.
I will glory in the Lord;
    let the afflicted hear and rejoice.
Glorify the Lord with me;
    let us exalt his name together.

I sought the Lord, and he answered me;
    he delivered me from all my fears.
Those who look to him are radiant;
    their faces are never covered with shame.
This poor man called, and the Lord heard him;
    he saved him out of all his troubles.
The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him,
    and he delivers them.

Taste and see that the Lord is good;
    blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.
Fear the Lord, you his holy people,
    for those who fear him lack nothing.
10 The lions may grow weak and hungry,
    but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.
11 Come, my children, listen to me;
    I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
12 Whoever of you loves life
    and desires to see many good days,
13 keep your tongue from evil
    and your lips from telling lies.
14 Turn from evil and do good;
    seek peace and pursue it.

15 The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
    and his ears are attentive to their cry;
16 but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil,
    to blot out their name from the earth.

17 The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them;
    he delivers them from all their troubles.
18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
    and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

19 The righteous person may have many troubles,
    but the Lord delivers him from them all;
20 he protects all his bones,
    not one of them will be broken.

21 Evil will slay the wicked;
    the foes of the righteous will be condemned.
22 The Lord will rescue his servants;
    no one who takes refuge in him will be condemned.

  1. Husband is off today, for the second half of the infusion. Still fighting the cold or whatever. Hopefully he is fine to infuse. Nineteen was a bit bonkers yesterday but recovered. She tends to do that when he is in the house because he just does whatever she demands because he says, she is crazy. But I don’t. So yesterday, when he returned from a trip to Lewiston, she started in, but I told her he had a headache and needed to rest. She stood on her side yelling for a piece of fruit. (she is allowed to walk over and pick one up but prefers to stand and yell) Finally, I sent over via fourteen, a handful of raisins. She demanded fresh fruit. She yelled that I was provoking her. She yelled that I was killing her. Meanwhile, husband had been sent upstairs in the unattached but heated garage so he could rest without listening to her. She demanded ice cream and this and that and the other. I ignored her. Finally, after realizing he was not going to come rescue her, she said she was sorry and was done and what should she do. I told her. She went off to her room and did whatever. All that to say, I am hoping she will realize dad is not here for the next few days so she does not have to put on her show and we can have a quiet time. Prayer for her. We actually made her look at the whole verse yesterday, not just the fathers do not provoke your children part. She was astonished. Prayer for us.

  2. I would appreciate prayers for my BIL, Marvin, who had another heart attack last night. He has had many. He is a believer, so we are grateful for that.

  3. My friend Jenn, the lady with the severe health issues whom I’ve brought up for prayer several times over the past few years, died this morning. She was only 48. 😦

    Please pray for comfort and salvation for her husband (of about 25 years) Rick, their grown children, Chris and Kaitlyn, and her four beloved grandchildren. (They are all pretty young, and it saddens me to think that they may not remember her as they age. She loved and adored them so much, and they brightened her day when she was suffering so much.)

    And please pray for her parents, Dick and Sue, who go to my church. Sue just recently made it back to church after having suffered a stroke. I know that this is devastating to them, as well as to the rest of the family.

    Also, please pray that her two sisters would reconcile. There has been a rift between the middle sister and the other two for several years, and it has been a heartache for their parents.

    I knew that Jenn’s health issues were getting worse, but I was still shocked and greatly saddened to hear of her seemingly sudden death. (She died in her recliner, where she spent most of her time, this morning.) She so very much wanted to stick around for her family, and to see those beautiful grandchildren (three boys and one girl) grow up some more.
