Morning! One pot of coffee down with how many to go?! 😊
3:30 wake up time…for whatever reason could not sleep. The neighbor texted that a bobcat was looking through the doors on her deck…he then meandered over to the next property….squirrels beware! 🙃
I couldn’t sleep either after getting up at around 4:30 a.m. — when something found and turned the wind-up key on the cat and she was pouncing all over me.
We’re finally getting some semi-winter weather with rain expected late today and again next week with daytime temps in the 50s. That’s brisk for us, downright warm and picnic weather for most of the rest of you.
We will be getting some snow in the mountains, too, which is much needed.
And yay for Friday. This week went fast, seems like only a day or two ago I was dragging myself into Monday.
I am praying that the little boy stays. No one else is working with him like you are. He needs the extra attention.
Morning all. 5am here. couldn’t sleep, though it is certainly dark out.
Physical therapist asked me to send the parents lots of videos of him working and I do send some every day so they can keep connected though I fear that could well backfire.
Michelle, I saw that. This also is an interesting piece on how “we” (or at least the primary national newspapers, specifically the NYT) got “here”
It’s long but a pretty accurate look at how young journalists are sweeping through (our newsrooms also have felt the “fever”) with a “post-journalism” journalism.
Of course, early U.S. newspapers were advocacy in nature as well, but I still stand behind the (to us) old-school, dispassionate approach that is careful to present both or all sides as fairly as possible.
i have tried fifteen times to log into the app that is monitoring me. Each time it takes me back to the sign in page. They will be coming after me soon!!
I even deleted the app from both my devices and downloaded it again.
Oh, well…
Jo, sometimes you need to totally turn off the phone or even take out a battery to get things back like they should be.
We had a heart wrenching prayer call this afternoon. My friend Florence’s sister died maybe during the time of our call, I found out our pastor has Covid, and another friend had us praying over her long time friend who had committed suicide. I did not even mention the death of Art’s long time business associate.
Our neighbor’s have a big fire going in the firepit on their deck. I love the glow from that into our dark bedroom with the curtain open. Sounds like they are having a good time. i hear the jolly bursts from young men laughing. Makes me miss Wesley.
Wow, I even smell a slight odor of smoke.
Just got an email from the ones in charge here and turns out that we are all having trouble with this app. So she said to just try each day and then not worry.
My allegies are kicking in. So… I was very excited to find that I had put two boxes of tissues in my storage stuff.
Good morning everyone.

It’s Friday. It’s 10° colder today than yesterday. There’s a prediction of snow Sunday and Monday. And God is still in control.
Oh, here are your political cartoons. Must be a slow week, as there are only 6 new ones since last Friday.

Good morning! I am getting new struts on the prius today. Crazy night in the ED. Covid has reared its ugly head again.
Your house will be so quiet without the babies, Mumsee. Well…maybe not.

Our rain won’t start until tomorrow morning, guess it was delayed. Then more coming late next week. Yippee.

Another prominent (local) political figure passed away, we’re seeing a lot of regional deaths lately.
I’ve decided I need some comfort food this weakend, aiming to make a pot roast — inspired by Kizzie & Nightingale

Oh, boy! I inspired someone! (Well, with help from my daughter, but still.)

DJ – Btw, was your spelling it “weakend” intentional or like a Freudian slip?
