Prayer Requests 1-9-21

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 131

A song of ascents. Of David.

My heart is not proud, Lord,
    my eyes are not haughty;
   I do not concern myself with great matters
    or things too wonderful for me.
But I have calmed and quieted myself,
    I am like a weaned child with its mother;
    like a weaned child I am content.

Israel, put your hope in the Lord
    both now and forevermore.

  1. Being greedy again. Prayer for me with what appears to be a sinus infection or whatever. Happens when I use cold medication and I often forget and succumb to the lure of instant relief.

  2. We need to pray for President-elect Biden and his running mate, Kamala Harris, that God would give them wisdom as they prepare to step into leadership of a deeply divided country. May they have people speaking into their lives who have wisdom. May they be kept from foolish advisers. And may they soon see that this job is too big for them and they need supernatural wisdom!

    If God intends to allow persecution to deepen the roots of His church and turn us from our reliance on ourselves and human means, may He give us grace to stay true to Him, and may He use this season to bring many nominal Christians to true faith.

  3. Dittos on Donna’s comment.
    It has come to the point where neither side is making sense.
    We need to get away from revenge, or getting rid of someone and use some common sense.
    Our nation is in trouble and neither side has a solution.
    Trump is disappointing lately.
    The Biden crime cabal is going to take over. Who knows what will come of this.

  4. I can pray for God to transform the hearts of Biden and Harris to align with His heart as they lead the nation forward. God is able to change the heart of anyone He chooses to change. I believe that Donald Trump had a transformed heart while in office, but that new baby Christians oftentimes slip back into their habits of the past to get them through times of trial.
