🙂 The older I get, the more I realize how important it is to just do the right thing. The more I realize how faithful God is; the more I realize what a total blessing salvation is! Also, the more I realize of how little importance so much else is.
My husband and I have had this discussion several times recently. We’re thankful we heard the Gospel at a young age, it stuck, and has guided us now for about half a century. It’s made living in a fallen world with fallen loved ones–including each other–easier, if not simpler.
Sitting here listening to the roosters crow. Just been reading in Matthew about Jesus in the garden and the disciples sleeping and so on. Enjoying the Christmas lights that son put up in the house yesterday. The Light of the world has come. Peace on earth, good will toward.
🙂 We are most of the way through 2020 (less than four weeks to go!).
😦 My mother-in-law says she knows 50 people who have had Covid-19. That includes her daughter and grandson and their spouses (my brother-in-law had a pretty bad case, 104+ fever and that’s bad when you’re almost 70), and one of her best friends just lost a friend to it.
🙂 Church is being livestreamed.
😦 We haven’t attended in person since March 1, more than nine months ago.
🙂 People from church are still willing to shop for us, though we get passed around from person to person occasionally.
🙂 🙂 🙂 God’s in His heaven, all’s right with the world.
Mumsee, is there anything else you’d rather be doing? (Maybe there is, but when you post I don’t hear it.) Keep reminding us to pray for you, keep loving them, and I think we’ll keep hearing stories of the good times and the bad. And keep loving that husband so that he keeps having strength to keep on keeping on, too.

And have you stopped to realize how fortunate we are that we live in a country where it’s ok to say that?

Rant and rave: two one year olds in the house and husband just turned sixty six. Nice they can be here. Sad they need to be here.

I have often commented I would be around sixty eight when youngest leaves. Now it is looking more like eighty three.

They’ll keep you mentally young–that’s what I keep telling myself–and tired.

Nope. Though it would be nice to be able to see some of the other grandchildren.
