It’s Wednesday, so don’t forget Ajissun and the folks in The Gambia.
Anyone else?
Psalm 54
1 Save me, O God, by your name;
vindicate me by your might.
2 Hear my prayer, O God;
listen to the words of my mouth.
3 Arrogant foes are attacking me;
ruthless people are trying to kill me—
people without regard for God.
4 Surely God is my help;
the Lord is the one who sustains me.
5 Let evil recoil on those who slander me;
in your faithfulness destroy them.
6 I will sacrifice a freewill offering to you;
I will praise your name, Lord, for it is good.
7 You have delivered me from all my troubles,
and my eyes have looked in triumph on my foes.
Prayer for the President to be wise in his words and not just snarky. I understand snarky as I am very sarcastic myself. He knows God and is growing in the Lord. Prayer for our brother to continue to set his eyes on Him.

Thank you. Still wracked with neuropathy pain at night. I was in despairing tears last night. Finally got maybe 5 hours.
Thanking God for how Enduring Word’s audio teachings straight from Luke are a comfort and eventually lull me to sleep.
More bad weather and wind blowing up back home.
So tired of it all.

This is gonna be long, but please bear with me. 🙂
Please pray for God to do a miracle in and for my Chickadee. As you know, she is in a situation (living with the McKs) that is spiritually unhealthy (even dangerous), as well as mentally (and possibly emotionally) unhealthy. A particular trait that I have read about in girls/women with Asperger’s-type autism is the tendency to take on the traits and values of close friends. Well, you know the traits and values that YA has, and her sister CBF (Chickadee’s Best Friend) is similar. As I’ve said in the past, I have seen Chickadee change her mind on abortion, and also adapt their attitudes on other issues.
This is an unimportant example, but indicative of their influence. Chickadee loved watching the modern day Sherlock series on PBS, and got me into watching it. While she lived here, we would watch it together. During the last season (which was a couple or so years ago), I asked if she was watching, as some of the episodes were particularly interesting and different from past years. She said no, and explained to me that YA and CBF had informed her that the producer (I think it was) was known for being “anti-woman”, so therefore she shouldn’t watch his program. I know it was only a TV show, but I felt sad that she was pressured to stop watching a show she had so enjoyed.
As you all know, I would love for her to get out of that house and come home. Unfortunately, living on her own is not an option because, at 28 years of age, she does not drive and has never held a job. With her very-possible-Asperger’s and all that goes with that, she will probably never be independent. But Nightingale does not want Chickadee to come home because she would be an added burden on her, financially and otherwise. (Of course, as a current non-believer, she doesn’t recognize the situation with the McKs to be as harmful as it is, although she fully recognizes how dysfunctional the family is.)
If Chickadee could get “Disability” for the severity of her Asperger’s, that would be such a help (if she were to come home), but her therapist has refused to even do an actual assessment on her.
Something I have resisted thinking about, but the questions of which have entered my mind pretty strongly over the past week is: What is going to become of my Chickadee, especially when she is older? What kind of future does she have? Will she end up destitute as an older woman? Will CBF take care of her all her life? (Nightingale would be willing to do that sometime in the future, but not yet, as long as Chickadee would help in the house.)
All I can do is commit her to God in prayer and ask for a miracle. Please join me in that, and also please pray for me to have the faith and trust to keep committing her into God’s hands and trusting Him to do something (hopefully wonderful and amazing) in her heart and life.

Michelle – I’m so sorry for all that is happening, and for your pain. What is causing the neuropathy?

Well, they don’t really know. It’s a complication of diabetes, and I’m borderline, but have been under control for 35 years. There is no cure and no meds I can take. I smear Caposine cream on, and it usually helps, but it’s been flaring so much the less few days, nothing helps.
And it’s starting to move into my hands.
The only real cure? Healing. Believe, me, we’ve been praying.

Michelle, I think sleep is very important for those with diabetes, and I know that has been an issue for you. Maybe all the stress over the fires the past few years has made it progress? Have you looked at any of the recent books on reversing diabetes? There might be help there.
Prayers for healing.
Kizzie, the situation with the Mck family has been going on for so long. Maybe it is one of those kind of strongholds that need fasting added to prayer? Maybe sometime whoever is able could join you in fasting and praying about it for a breakthrough. We have prayed many times over this and I hope for God’s very best answer that leads to her eternal life.
Mumsee, yes we do need to lift up Trump in prayer (I am assuming he is a baby in Christ). Praying that he will begin to give way to the Holy Spirit for bearing of the Fruit of the Spirit that would correct what he speaks.
Wondering if Kim’s sales came through since we offered them up to God?

Michelle – Praying for healing for you.
Janice – Our church is starting a 21-day fast tomorrow (not total, but each one choosing how to restrict our diets for that period of time). I will definitely add Chickadee’s situation with the McKs to pray for, as well as for Nightingale, Boy, and others, and whatever the daily prayer thrusts are from the church.

Michelle my chiropractor was talking about that as it is a problem my sil has. He mentioned a program that was working that included no alcohol and a vegan diet. My sil was making progress but gave up

Follow-up to my comment late last night on the prayer thread, where I said this:
My sister-in-law was able to reach Mom by phone on the third try this morning, to let her know that East Coast family had arrived back home safely yesterday. SIL reported to us today that Mom was in a very good mood and that she didn’t sound like she’d been worrying or fretting, but was thankful to hear the news.
Thanks for praying for Mom’s peace of mind.
