I may have told you this before.
We have a large recliner that Elvera spends most of her time in.
It is huge for a chair and can swivel back almost to a bed.
I usually take her out into a wheel chair for lunch, or some such.
When we go back she says she “puts her big butt into the big chair.’
I like her humorous approach to an unfortunate situation.
But her “butt” isn’t any larger than is usual for a female butt.
š Thank God for humor and senior citizens are experts in humor. It helps us keep going; sometimes in the most amazing circumstances.
š The amazing creation God has made! So much of it speaks of the truth of who he is and of the story of salvation. The trees are in their glory here. When I see vistas that take my breath of me all I can think of is how great must paradise have been when sin had not yet affected it? How great will heaven by and the new earth? What wonders do we who have trusted in our Savior have yet to experience?
š¦ š Car accident! But no serious injuries (other than to our 2 cars š¦ )
š Comprehensive car insurance – it’s always worth it
š Trusting God in next steps that will be needed.
š¦ Sad pine tree in my backyard, arborist comes Monday morning to assess what’s wrong, see what needs to be done or if it will have to be taken down.
š¦ Fires, much devastation yet again in our state and others in the west.
š My knee isn’t 100% healed but is so much better when I think back to May-June-July-August when I could not walk sometimes hardly at all or, even in the best cases, without a whole lot of pain and slowness.
š¦ Election and balloting concerns; violence in the streets continuing. The state of the nation is not healthy. Is judgement coming (or is it here already)? Will renewal and revival grow out of that? Is a very difficult season upon the nation that could last for decades? We can’t know. So we struggle to look to and use the Light we have been given to inform our prayers, thinking, views and reactions. And we watch and wait.
And we need to remind ourselves (over and over in my case) and each other —
š BUT GOD. He is sovereign over all, there is a purpose, the Invisible Hand we cannot fully see on this side. As a Christian friend and former colleague says (he also has the T-shirt), “Aslan is on the move.”

š¦ Up until four years ago, I adored the wind, particularly in the fall. Now, my senses go on alert and it feels a threat.
š¦ It will be one of those weekends.
š¦ I felt wilted for most of the day, dragging and tired.
š 12 hours in bed later (most of it asleep!), Iām hoping for a rebound today! I have plenty to do.

Happy to have twelfth grandchild on the ground and whispers indicate that number thirteen is being knitted as we speak.

I marked my absentee ballot and finished just as the postman passed by.
Trump’s re-election hinges on my one vote.

God is at work. I don’t see a healing coming in our land, but He is doing His work one by one.
