Prayer Requests 7-21-20

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 143

A psalm of David.

Lord, hear my prayer,
    listen to my cry for mercy;
   in your faithfulness and righteousness
    come to my relief.
Do not bring your servant into judgment,
    for no one living is righteous before you.
The enemy pursues me,
    he crushes me to the ground;
   he makes me dwell in the darkness
    like those long dead.
So my spirit grows faint within me;
    my heart within me is dismayed.
I remember the days of long ago;
    I meditate on all your works
    and consider what your hands have done.
I spread out my hands to you;
    I thirst for you like a parched land.

Answer me quickly, Lord;
    my spirit fails.
   Do not hide your face from me
    or I will be like those who go down to the pit.
Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,
    for I have put my trust in you.
   Show me the way I should go,
    for to you I entrust my life.
Rescue me from my enemies, Lord,
    for I hide myself in you.
10 Teach me to do your will,
    for you are my God;
   may your good Spirit
    lead me on level ground.

11 For your name’s sake, Lord, preserve my life;
    in your righteousness, bring me out of trouble.
12 In your unfailing love, silence my enemies;
    destroy all my foes,
    for I am your servant.

  1. Continued prayer for son in law and daughter. He is still hospitalized. She asked her helper to leave her alone with the three little folk last night. We are concerned but know that God is on His Throne and it is a spiritual battle.

  2. I exhausted myself last week. Weary is the only word I have to describe my feelings. I had a melt down Sunday afternoon. I am working my way out of the hole. I sort of use this blog to write out and sort my feelings so forgive me if I mention things multiple times.
    At times I feel like I am trying to swim upstream with weights tied to my ankles. What I do know is that at some point it will get better. I just have to make it to that point.

  3. Good talk with fourteen year old today. He basically agreed with Paul. His flesh keeps getting in the way of what he wants to do and his pride keeps telling him he can do it without God’s help. At least, that is how he described it to me. God is working.

  4. My daughter’s MIL is weary. She has fought cancer for many years. She was also in a terrible car accident several years ago. She has been in a wheelchair for over a year now and in and out of the hospital for a few years. She recently checked herself out after being in for pneumonia. She was close to death according to the doctor. She says she believes in God. Her husband does not. Please pray for them and my SIL (and family) who will visit soon, while trying to socially distance.
