Prayer Requests 5-1-20

It’s Friday, so please remember to pray for Mumsee, Mike, and the Nestlings.

Anyone else?

Psalm 84

A psalm.

How lovely is your dwelling place,
    Lord Almighty!
My soul yearns, even faints,
    for the courts of the Lord;
   my heart and my flesh cry out
    for the living God.
Even the sparrow has found a home,
    and the swallow a nest for herself,
    where she may have her young—
   a place near your altar,
    Lord Almighty, my King and my God.
Blessed are those who dwell in your house;
    they are ever praising you.

Blessed are those whose strength is in you,
    whose hearts are set on pilgrimage.
As they pass through the Valley of Baka,
    they make it a place of springs;
    the autumn rains also cover it with pools.
They go from strength to strength,
    till each appears before God in Zion.

Hear my prayer, Lord God Almighty;
    listen to me, God of Jacob.
Look on our shield, O God;
    look with favor on your anointed one.

10 Better is one day in your courts
    than a thousand elsewhere;
   I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
    than dwell in the tents of the wicked.
11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield;
    the Lord bestows favor and honor;
   no good thing does he withhold
    from those whose walk is blameless.

12 Lord Almighty,
    blessed is the one who trusts in you.

  1. AnnMS posted a FB update. She is doing well and her husband and daughter both tested negative. She posted this message to those here:
    “Thanks to my Blog family for praying faithfully for me. Knowing y’all were praying gave me great encouragement.”

  2. My cousin told his parents yesterday that it feels like his lungs are filling up and he is feeling worse. He is still in hospital. He is only 3 years older than I, the same age as Second. My aunt is asking for prayer. My cousin is a professing believer. Some of his choices earlier in adulthood were perhaps not the wisest, but he has taken the consequences courageously, and he is a faithful husband and father.

  3. As I prayed for them both this morning I was wondering how they were doing. Thanks for letting us know.

    April went in for surgery this morning for the radiation seed implant to her eye. Please pray for salvation and healing etc. for her. (and salvation for her husband, who was homeschooled and raised a Christian, but is an atheist now)

  4. One of the Bible camps we are ‘friends’ with just announced they would not be running summer camps this year. We’re waiting until May 25th in the hopes that we might be able to run smaller camps or some such thing. We’re definitely stressed.
