Prayer Requests 9-6-19

It’s Friday, so please remember to pray for Mumsee, Mike, and the Nestlings.

Anyone else?

Psalm  31:1-5

In you, Lord, I have taken refuge;
    let me never be put to shame;
    deliver me in your righteousness.
Turn your ear to me,
    come quickly to my rescue;
   be my rock of refuge,
    a strong fortress to save me.
Since you are my rock and my fortress,
    for the sake of your name lead and guide me.
Keep me free from the trap that is set for me,
    for you are my refuge.
Into your hands I commit my spirit;
    deliver me, Lord, my faithful God.

  1. Prayer for eighteen. She is trying to not be angry rather than making herself angry. I think it is a good choice. But it makes her talk non stop. Today she visits with a psych doctor about her options for disability as an adult.

  2. I’m feeling overloaded w/work and things I can’t get to around the house. I’m also feeling paralyzed about attending an upcoming “reunion” which I should be eager to attend but feel ambivalent about (just tired right now?) and thinking of just skipping. It’s a number of us who found each other on FB and are getting together with our 2nd grade teacher (she’s 90ish) for lunch next Friday. This has involved intense planning which I’ve not had time to participate in and now realize I need to get a bio and other items turned in for a ‘memory’ book. It’s been a nonstop group chat on FB now for 2+ months, every day, every hour it seems, on and on, and that alone (I haven’t been able to really keep up with it all).

    I know, I should go. And I probably will. It just has all been so tiring already (and it’s only for a 3-hour lunch).

  3. Well daughter surprised herself as well as me. She told me she had planned to act out at the meeting but she told them she needed me at her medical and psych meetings to help her understand her doctors and needed dad to schedule her stuff. Knock me over with a feather.

  4. DJ, go and enjoy it. You may not “look forward to it,” but you’ll almost certainly be glad you did–if nothing else, you will bring joy to that teacher. And you’ll never get another chance.
