Wandering Views 
The Hassaniyya are a people group living in the Sahel areas of the Sahara Desert, ranging from Mauritania to Sudan. They are extremely unreached and very nomadic. They will travel with their herds of camels and cows looking for pastoral lands in groups of 2,000–3,000 people. Very few live in cities or towns, so ministry must take place wherever they are.
They call themselves Muslims, but are very animistic in their practice; they believe in ancestral worship, wear charms/amulets on their arms for many reasons including good luck, protection, and riches.
Please pray…
May God open their eyes to the truth of who Jesus is. May they know the true God who is all-powerful and more able to help than any amulet or spiritual enemy.
Pray for workers; it is difficult and there are few trying to reach this people group. Pray for wisdom to know how to connect.
Pray for access to health care and education among the Hassaniyya. They have no clean water or medical access. The children do not attend school due to their nomadic nature.

Praying for my girls and grandson, and for all our unsaved loved ones. May God enlighten the eyes of their hearts, and may Jesus be revealed to them in one way or another, according to His will, by His Holy Spirit.

Mumsee, I saw your question yesterday about “self-sustaining” churches on the mission field, and agree with Cheryl’s answer. A good missions effort always has as part of its goal that the churches born from their efforts come to a point where they don’t need continued missionary leadership.

I have typed and erased something here a couple times, but end up getting into too many details. Since I don’t want to get into those details now (and I’m not sure of all of them), please pray for greater peace and trust in my heart (vs. panicking or worrying), and for provision for a potentially expensive situation. Thank you.

Requesting prayers for wisdom in my conference tonight with both parents of my newest student (who started last month). I’ve met his mom, but tonight is the first time I’m meeting his dad. Mom’s got an 88-key instrument at her home, but Dad has nothing but a little keyboard that might be in the closet at his apartment; Mom and boy don’t know. Parents have 50/50 custody, and when the little boy is at Dad’s, it sounds like his musical practice is mainly playing on music apps on his Dad’s iPad, along with doing the supplementary musical activities I give him that don’t require a piano.
He needs access to a real instrument at both places; a downloaded picture of a keyboard on an iPad isn’t going to cut it.

Conference went OK. They’re going to try getting the boy to Mom’s house to practice during the days he’s staying with Dad. They don’t live too far apart.
