Prayer Requests 11-14-18

It’s Wednesday, so don’t forget Ajisuun and The Gambia.

Anyone else?

Psalm 98

Sing to the Lord a new song,
    for he has done marvelous things;
   his right hand and his holy arm
    have worked salvation for him.
The Lord has made his salvation known
    and revealed his righteousness to the nations.
He has remembered his love
    and his faithfulness to Israel;
   all the ends of the earth have seen
    the salvation of our God.

Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth,
    burst into jubilant song with music;
make music to the Lord with the harp,
    with the harp and the sound of singing,
with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn—
    shout for joy before the Lord, the King.

Let the sea resound, and everything in it,
    the world, and all who live in it.
Let the rivers clap their hands,
    let the mountains sing together for joy;
let them sing before the Lord,
    for he comes to judge the earth.
   He will judge the world in righteousness
    and the peoples with equity.

  1. Thanks Mumsee and the rest of you who prayed. I appreciate it. 🙂

    It went well, everything looks good, no blockages or any other issues. 🙂

  2. Yesterday I mentioned some tension between Nightingale and me, and asked for prayer.

    Here’s the rest of the story, and how it has turned out:

    You may remember that our plans for Thanksgiving were for Nightingale’s two friends, and possibly the brother of one of them, to spend the day with us. When I agreed to those plans, Thanksgiving was still a ways away, but as it has been drawing closer, I have been getting more anxious. Some of that had to do with all the cleaning that really has to be done. (I assume some of you would tell me that it doesn’t have to be done, and I understand the notion, but yes, it does, if only for my own peace of mind.)

    There were a couple other things that had me nervous, such as the fact that this would be an almost-all-day event, not merely inviting someone over for a dinner which might last a couple or so hours. And there is the matter of the grief not being as diminished as we thought it might be as the second holiday season without Hubby is upon us.

    It was my requesting that we change the plans that had Nightingale mad at me, and her initial reaction caused me to shut down. But after a good cry, I thought about it some more, and came up with a plan to deal with the cleaning. Even though those other matters still bothered me, I was willing to go ahead anyway, for her sake. (And because I would like to get to know them.)

    This morning I learned that although I had told her not to change the plans, she decided to do so anyway. We will do what we did last Thanksgiving – have a family brunch, then go our own ways for the rest of the day. I have to admit that I was very relieved, especially that it was her decision, not me insisting on my own way.

    I suggested that sometime after the house is decorated for Christmas, we have them over for lunch or dinner. She thought that seemed like a good idea.

  3. Thank You, God, for the good outcomes for AJ and for Kizzie.

    Please, Father God, bring quick containment to the fires in CA and may loss of life cease. May the rains in the southeast redirect and give moisture to the fiery areas if at all posible.

    I ask that the political issues left over from the midterm elections would be resolved in an honest and fair manner. Please keep the disappointed ones acting in a level-headed way without any violence stirred up. Some people seem to look for any excuse.

    Thank You, Abba, for Your constant care and watch over Your beloved children and especially over the ones who are like family to me hete on this blog. In Jesus I pray, Amen
