Psalm 119:9-16

⁹How can a young person stay on the path of purity?
    By living according to your word.
¹⁰I seek you with all my heart;
    do not let me stray from your commands.
¹¹I have hidden your word in my heart
    that I might not sin against you.
¹²Praise be to you, Lord;
    teach me your decrees.
¹³With my lips I recount
    all the laws that come from your mouth.
¹⁴I rejoice in following your statutes
    as one rejoices in great riches.
¹⁵I meditate on your precepts
    and consider your ways.
¹⁶I delight in your decrees;
    I will not neglect your word.

Thanks to God for Chas and Elvera, and putting them into our lives, or us into theirs. What a blessing they are and an encouragement over the past decade to me to keep my eyes on Him.

Nightingale and The Boy have a camp out with the Cub Scouts that starts later today. The Boy spent last night with his dad. Yesterday morning, after X texted me that he would pick him up from the bus stop, Nightingale had me text him that The Boy needs to be home “BY noon” today. I did. He did not reply. He always replies with an “Ok” to bits of info I may text him.

So I tried again last night, saying I hope he saw my earlier text, and repeating it. Again, no reply. Texted him again about half an hour ago, and still no reply.

Please pray that The Boy will be home on time. It would be so nice to avoid more “drama”.

Nightingale heard from X’s Mom that he will be here by noon.

Poor Nightingale is feeling so stressed and anxious. Yesterday was a too-busy day on the wing she worked on, with too many patients with serious problems, with too few staff and too little time. She worked a couple hours overtime and still didn’t get everything done, having to pass some duties on to the next shift nurse. (That is acceptable, but most of the nurses try not to do that.) Then there was the matter of if The Boy will be home on time, and still feeling bad about whatever is going on between her and Beau.
