  1. The most dangerous place to be in America?

Between this publicity @#$%# and a camera. Why it’s almost like this is all for his personal gain, and that he’d say whatever lies are necessary to ensure it continues.

And those rubes in Cali. think he works for them….. he doesn’t seem to work much at all, for anybody, except maybe MSNBC and CNN. .

    http://dailycaller.com/2018/02/27/adam-schiff-interviews-since-trump-inauguration/

“Rep. Adam Schiff has given 227 television interviews since President Donald Trump’s inauguration, according to a research report released Tuesday by the Republican National Committee (RNC).

Schiff’s “near constant presence” on TV suggests the California Democrat is using the Russia investigation as “his big break” and to increase his political visibility, the RNC asserts.”
    ———————

““It’s clear that Schiff, who recently had no national profile, has used the House’s Russia investigation as a self-serving platform to increase his visibility and is incentivized to prolong, dramatize, and overhype the investigation so he can continue preening for the cameras,” the RNC argues in its report, which is entitled “The Schiff Show: By the Numbers.”

Schiff’s go-to networks are not surprise. He has appeared on MSNBC a total of 111 times since Trump’s inauguration, according to the RNC’s research report. CNN has interviewed the former federal prosecutor 87 times over the same time span.”

    https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2018/feb/27/glenn-haab-father-colton-haab-admits-altering-cnn-/

“Last week’s televised town hall on guns and school safety has led to finger-pointing by the father of a Florida school shooting survivor and CNN.

The network says Glenn Haab, the father of Marjory Stoneman Douglas junior Colton Haab, doctored emails to push a claim that the network told his son what to say at the forum. Colton Haab backed out of the Feb. 21 event.

CNN denies scripting any remarks and released an email exchange between a CNN producer and Glenn Haab that it says Glenn Haab altered. The altered email was sent to other news outlets, including Fox News.

Haab acknowledges omitting some words from the email but says he didn’t do it on purpose.”

    https://hotair.com/archives/2018/02/27/newsweek-unable-pay-rent-faces-eviction/

“When we checked in with Newsweek last week, the magazine had just published a news article critical of the magazine’s owners. That article only saw the light of day after a number of reporters and editors threatened to quit if it were spiked. It came after two top editors were fired and a raid based on an investigation by the Manhattan District Attorney. Today, the Daily Beast reports the struggling magazine is unable to pay its rent and may face eviction.

Guardian Life Insurance, the sub-landlord for the company’s downtown Manhattan office, informed International Business Times Inc. in late November that it owed several hundred thousand dollars representing “unpaid, delinquent rent and additional rent.”

According an affidavit filed in New York County court in mid February, Guardian claims IBT currently owes the landlord $303,466 in rent…

The company had stopped paying other bills months ago, racking up what Guardian claimed in early December as an additional $309,229 invoice for various utilities and fees.

IBT stopped paying its electric bill in July 2016, stopped paying for condensed water in September 2016, and lagged in paying rent on-time every month since July 2016—resulting in thousands of dollars worth of late fees.

As you might imagine, this dispute ended up in court. The landlord is demanding the company pay all back rent, fearful that it is about to go out of business. Newsweek is claiming it tried to settle that debt and its payment was rejected by Guardian (the landlord). Guardian admits Newsweek paid a portion of the money it owed but says it never paid the rest, an amount over $100,000. Meanwhile, Newsweek sought a temporary order to protect the company from being evicted:”

    https://hotair.com/archives/2018/02/27/heartbreaking-tale-gang-member-deported/

“President Trump’s threat to pull ICE and the Border Patrol out of California hasn’t been enacted (yet) so immigration enforcement activities are still taking place. Following the big sweep in the Los Angeles area, individual investigations are still being handled and CBS San Francisco brings us another of the heartbreaking tales of a family being separated by the evil forces of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

This is a particularly curious bit of coverage given how these stories normally go, and we’ll get to why that is in a moment. It starts out as so many of these tales do, with a crying child – the daughter of one Armando Nunez Salgado of Napa – watching as federal agents come charging into the family’s backyard and apprehend her dad while he’s peacefully working in his garden.”
    ———————

“Thus far it’s fairly typical of such coverage. You’ve got the wife and the teenage daughter, distressed and in tears over the unfairness of it all. He volunteered to help fight the wildfires plaguing the area last year. On top of that, Armando was brought here when he was only four years old. Shouldn’t this guy have been in the DACA program? Why wasn’t he a “Dreamer” by now? In any event, he’s clearly one of the good guys. The wife concludes by saying, ” So the fact that they took someone off like that. I don’t see the sense in it all. He wasn’t a danger to the community in any way.”

Normally this is the point where I’d start doing some Google searches to see if there’s something else in this guy’s history which might attract the attention of ICE. It’s not that they can’t deport him simply for being here illegally, but if that’s the entire story they probably wouldn’t make this guy a priority bust. But this is where the CBS article takes a sharp turn and saves us any further searching. It turns out that Armando isn’t quite the non-threat that’s being described. (Emphasis added)

But it turns out, Armando does have a dangerous past. After our interview, his family members told KPIX 5 he was involved in gangs and drugs for a long time.

In fact, at one point, he was on ICE’s most wanted list for charges of felony force and assault with a deadly weapon.

Now things become a bit more clear. He’s only had a few years “clean” according to his family, but before that, he was enough of a bad guy to make the most wanted list as a gang member, drug dealer and violent felon. And the most wanted list era was a few years ago since he’s gone to ground since then.

Once again, using this as a pitch to make Trump out as the bad guy falls flat because he was a high-profile ICE target being actively sought during the Obama administration. It just so happens that it took until now for federal agents to track him down and take him in. But if all you did was read the first five or six paragraphs of the national news coverage you’d only know that the federal agents had dragged the poor fellow out of his garden, leaving his sobbing wife and young daughter in their wake. In fact, the actual title of the article reads, “Family Heartbroken After Napa Man Arrested By ICE Agents.”

The reality? A known, dangerous gang member with a violent past was located and taken into custody for processing and (most likely) deportation. You might not want to shed too many tears over this one, kids.”

  5. Schiff is a very interesting case and illustrates the choice of the Democrats in 2020:

    1. They can run a candidate who emphasizes socialism, transgenderism, abortion, etc. If they do that, even a candidate as flawed as Trump has a chance; or
    2. They can run a candidate who emphasizes intelligence, honesty and competency and contrasts those characteristics with what you get with Trump.

Schiff is intelligent, fairly honest and very competent. Those characteristics are more striking when he is matched against an imbecilic con man and his witless stooge (Trump and Nunes).

Cheer up! The Democrats will probably choose #1.

  7. If the Democrats choose Schiff, they have chosen the candidate “who emphasizes socialism, transgenderism, abortion, etc. ”

You don’t get elected as a national Democrat without those. Get with the program.

You may now resume your unabashed admiration for this clown who mocks everything you hold dear. This is who you’ve aligned with since you let your hatred for Trump take over.

Is this really who you think you side with, or has your hatred so blinded you that you aren’t thinking at all?

  8. AJ, In those 227 interviews, how many times have you heard Schiff emphasize, stress or even mention abortion, transgenderism or socialism? I know he is on the wrong side of those issues, like virtually all Democrats. However, his role has been to oppose dishonesty and idiocy and to defend federal law enforcement personnel against the charges of a comically dishonest President, his stooges and his cult.

That is why Schiff would be a better candidate than Elizabeth Warren.

    Nonsense.
Either the person is security safe or a security risk.
There is no ‘temporary” about it.
Something is wring. May have been for along time.
Hillary Clinton was a definite security risk. But she handled Top Secret code word material.

  10. I’m going to sit with Chas on this one. 🙂

And I actually live in California–which has decided not to support Dianne Feinstein (how old is she, anyway? 85?) for a fifth US Senate term and while they threw out a Hispanic state senator for sexual harassment, he is running to get his old job back.

The nice thing about being an Independent voter, is I can feel like I’m at a tennis game, just watching the craziness go back and forth and only becoming a part of it when a ball hits me by mistake.

Or something like that. Maybe I’m better with my fellow-Californian in the state of denial . . .

This time Sessions defended himself against the charges of the imbecile.

In Trump’s defense, he was able to correctly spell Sessions’ name in this outburst. It took him two tries last time.

  12. OK, since Michelle brought it up……… 🙂

Yes, it was Putin ordered. Yes, it was a dry run. And yes, the Russians failed miserably.

This is why you don’t mess with the greatest fighting force in history. As was proven repeatedly in Iraq, Russian armor is no match for ours. They’re junk.

    CONTENT WARNING!!!!!!!!

For language. Seems the Russian mercs didn’t appreciate what their govt, and our soldiers, did to their sorry butts.

    http://www.newsweek.com/total-f-russian-mercenaries-syria-lament-us-strike-killed-dozens-818073

“Recordings have emerged in which Russian mercenaries subjected to a joint U.S. strike that killed dozens of their comrades describe the incident as “a total @#$%-up.”

Polygraph.info, a Voice of America project, published three recordings, which it received from a source close to the Kremlin. The source said that the recorded phone calls were made by personnel from CHVK Wagner, a Russian private military company. ”
    ————————————–

“In the first audio clip, a man says “one squadron @#$%$#$ lost 200 people …right away, another one lost 10 people… and I don’t know about the third squadron but it got torn up pretty badly, too… So three squadrons took a beating.”

The man explains that American forces used artillery and helicopter gunships to repel the assault. “They were all shelling the holy @#$% out of it and our guys didn’t have anything besides the assault rifles… nothing at all, I’m not even talking about shoulder-fired SAMs or anything like that… they tore us to pieces, put us through hell,” he says.

The speaker is also critical of the Russian government’s response to the incident, saying, “They beat our @#$#@# like we were little pieces of @#$%… but our @#$%$#@ government will go in reverse now and nobody will respond or anything and nobody will punish anyone for this.”

“My guys just called me, they are sitting there drinking, many are MIA, it’s a total @##%-up, another humiliation… nobody gives a @#$^ about us.”

In a second clip, a man explains that the battle quickly descended into a massacre as the Russians lost all armored support. “Out of all vehicles only one tank survived and one BRDM (Armored Reconnaissance Vehicle) after the attack, all other BRDMs and tanks were destroyed in the first minutes of the fight, right away.”

In the third clip, a man can be heard explaining the Russian convoy was a few hundred meters away from target when the American forces raised their flag and hit the Russians with a heavy artillery barrage, wiping out the first column instantly. “We got our @#$%$# @#$#@ beat rough, the Yankees made their point,” he said. “What were they hoping for, that the Yankees are just going to @#$# off?… It’s bull@#$%, some people can’t even be @#$%$#$ ID’ed , too many people there.”

In another of the clips, a man claims “there are about 215 @#$%$#$ killed” on the Russian side.”

“The thousands of visitors paying respects to the late Rev. Billy Graham at the U.S. Capitol Wednesday were greeted by four special guests when they entered the Capitol Rotunda: Billy Graham’s son and three grandsons.

Each person entering the space room under the Capitol Dome was treated to a private conversation with Graham’s eldest son, Franklin. The younger Graham followed in his father’s footsteps, and is a Christian evangelist and missionary. Franklin stood at the end of the room and shook the hand of every faithful person who entered.

Mr. Graham told The Daily Caller, in between hugs and handshakes from beaming strangers, he “will stand here as long as I am able.”

“These people stood outside for us and for my father,” he continued. “I will stand here for them. We love them and so does God.””
