Prayer Requests 2-28-18

It’s Wednesday, so don’t forget Ajisuun and The Gambia.

Anyone else?

Psalm 20

May the Lord answer you when you are in distress;
may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.
May he send you help from the sanctuary
and grant you support from Zion.
May he remember all your sacrifices
    and accept your burnt offerings.
May he give you the desire of your heart
and make all your plans succeed.
May we shout for joy over your victory
and lift up our banners in the name of our God.

May the Lord grant all your requests.

Now this I know:
The Lord gives victory to his anointed.
He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary
with the victorious power of his right hand.
Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.
They are brought to their knees and fall,
but we rise up and stand firm.
Lord, give victory to the king!
    Answer us when we call!

  1. Amen.

I could ask the same. There is church today (Lenten service), and I am frustrated and nearly out of patience, having volunteered to help with a church/school-related event and discovered how poorly organized the whole thing is. I have spent way more time contacting people who either don’t respond, or give contradictory information from what I’ve already heard, when all I was originally told was that I would be serving as an accompanist for three children! I’m additionally having to take care of many behind-the-scenes details, and my ire grows with each new re-direction or non-answer to my questions.

Big mistake that I didn’t pray about this (or request prayer) before saying yes, and a large part of why I believe God led me to say no to that in-home piano teaching request I told you about this week.

I learned my lesson, which is something I can be grateful for, but need prayers for patience in communicating my thoughts to the appropriate people, and wisdom to discern who they are and what, if anything, to say.

Sorry to vent on the prayer thread.

  2. Praying. Please pray as I speak with a student today. This student has a problem with lying. I realized in the night that that is not a problem someone can just decide to end without the help of the Holy Spirit. If I have the opportunity, I would like to speak and pray with this child today.

  3. I am very frustrated about a situation at work. I have tried to be accommodating but nothing I do is working. There is a “communication” problem. Yes, there certainly is. Other people are trying to micromanage my job.
