Peter’s Pack of Pickled Pigskin Picks 2017-Week 11
Another week of upsets has come and gone. This week looks to provide more excitement as some Top 10 teams go against each other. And a few lower ranked teams hope to move up the ladder to have a chance at the National Championship. Here are your chosen ten games. Chas chose the tie breaker, after winning for the first time in Pigskin Picks history (and maybe ever since Anlir started this way back when in the old WMB).
Pick by 12 Noon EST Saturday. Make sure you get the score of the tie breaker as well as the winner.
1. #12 Michigan State @ #13 Ohio State
2. #15 Ok State @ #21 Iowa St
3. Duke @ Army
4. Florida @ So Carolina
5. Indiana @ Illinois
6. #1 Georgia @ #10 Auburn
7. #20Iowa @ #8 Wisconsin
8. #6 TCU @ #5 Oklahoma
9. Pillow Fight: San José State (1-9) @ Nevada (1-8)

Michigan State
Oklahoma State
This one is a tough one for me. But…… Duke. They can actually throw the ball.
South Carolina
Illinois
Georgia
Wisconsin
TCU
San Jose State
Purdue 24-21
Ohio State- I doubt the Buckeyes will let another one slip away at home.
Iowa State – It’ll be tough, but I have Iowa connections (SIL graduated from ISU).
Duke – because Army is only so good.
South Carolina – If Mizzou can beat Florida, almost anyone can.
Indiana – Illinois is not a football college.
Auburn – going out on a limb here.
Iowa – hopeful because of the Iowa connection (Mrs L grew up ~20 miles from U of I).
Oklahoma – If this were the tie breaker, we’d be guessing basketball scores.
Nevada – home field
NW 28-24
1. Ohio State
2. Iowa State
3. Duke
4, South Carolina
5 Indiana
6. Georgia (Though I’ve said smart people don’t vote against Auburn.)
7. Wisconsin
8. TCU I just like the idea of a Horned Toad winning and TCH has had it tough so long.
9. Nevada
10 Boilermakers 21-14 (Both teams recruit scholars, but Boilers are meaner.)
Oh, I forgot last week’s results. Sorry. Here they are:
Chas 7
Tychicus 6
Kevin & Janice 5
Ricky & AJ 4
I had 3
Mumsee (w/IdahoMike’s picks) 2 (Maybe Mike needs a little more practice)
Michigan State (Peter is probably right but I’m even less likely ever to pick OSU than I am to pick USC. It’s very scientific.)
Ok State
Army
So Carolina
Indiana
Georgia
Wisconsin
Oklahoma
Nevada
Northwestern 28-14
We have a winner! Actually, Ricky and Tychicus tied with 9 each, but Ricky was closer on the tie breaker The score was Northwestern 23, Purdue 13. So Ricky was only 7 off, whereas Tychicus was 22. Congratulations, Ricky!
Here are the rest of the results:
Kevin and Mumsee 8
I had 7
Janice 6
Chas 5
AJ 3
There are only a couple of weeks left of the regular season, so maybe this week I’ll tally our totals and see who is in the lead overall.
Ricky- let me know which game you want for the tie breaker.
Let’s do Texas vs West Virginia. It is supposed to be cold and wet. I was in Morgantown a few years back to watch The Mountaineers ruin Baylor’s undefeated season in similar conditions.

I think you should give Chas another week to enjoy his trophy, and skip this week.

Peter, did you ever post last week’s final standings? I don’t see them on the PPPPP thread, and I’m way behind on Our Daily Thread.

Wow, I didn’t remember that Anlir started this. Anyone still in touch with him?

Had I known that, I would not have let him pick this week. Unbelievable.

I claim 3rd place because I was closer than Mumsee on the tiebreaker. Actually I was closer than everyone on the tiebreaker.

Yes, Kevin. That’s why you are listed ahead of mumsee. I always try to list names based on tie breaker score if there is a tie.
