Peter’s Pack of Pickled Pigskin Picks 2017-Week 10

Here are the ten teams for the 10th week of college football. Some of these games are important to the post season playoffs. Others are just excuses for people to go and act joyously crazy with thousands of their closest friends as their team gains a victory, or cry when their team gets beaten by a lesser foe.

And it’s an opportunity for my blog friends to show how much they know about college football. Or how well/badly they are at guessing.

  3. FYI – Clemson is ranked #4, NC State is #20. But anything can happen in college football. Just ask the two Top 5 teams “lowly” Iowa State beat in the last three weeks.

  4. Penn State – no upset here.
    Auburn – nor here.
    Mizzou – I’m hoping for an upset here.
    Oklahoma – The Sooners were Iowa States first victim in its two upset victories. OU won’t let the Cowboys take advantage of them.
    Iowa State – The Cyclones are on the way to a possible Big 12 title.
    Stanford – It’ll be a tough win against a strong the Cougars.
    Air Force – Falcons put a damper on Army’s hopes for the President’s trophy. Go Navy!
    Arizona – Another game I hope is an upset.
    Kansas – Jayhawks have feathers, as do Owls. So do pillows. This is a Pillow fight. The home team’s feathers prevail.
    NC State 24-23. Clemson lost to Syracuse. NC St. beat Syracuse. This will be another upset loss for a Top 5 team.

  10. So, there’s this thing in football called an upset. It’s when a team beats a team which is supposed to beat them. Iowa State has pulled off two of those. And there were several today. Ironically, Iowa State was one of the teams beaten by a team they were supposed to beat.

    All this to say, that due to so many upsets, I can call this week’s winner before the last game is finished. You see, Chas has 7 correct guesses this week. The second best participants each have 5. So no matter the outcome of the remaining game, Chas will have either a 1 or 2 point advantage over second place.

    I’ll post the final results tomorrow sometime when I see the result of the Arizona at Southern Cal game. It is still in the 1st quarter and won’t end until long after I’m in dream land.

    So, Chas, think about what game you want fro next week’s tie breaker while you ponder why the US has to mess with our sleep patterns twice a year.
