Prayer Requests 9-1-16

It’s Thursday, so don’t forget to pray for Jo, her students, and the people of PNG.

Anyone else?

Psalm 129

¹Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth, may Israel now say:

Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth: yet they have not prevailed against me.

The plowers plowed upon my back: they made long their furrows.

The Lord is righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked.

Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.

Let them be as the grass upon the housetops, which withereth afore it groweth up:

Wherewith the mower filleth not his hand; nor he that bindeth sheaves his bosom.

Neither do they which go by say, The blessing of the Lord be upon you: we bless you in the name of the Lord.

  1. Well, trucking continues. Husband was supposed to be home yesterday but it did not work out so he is headed home but on his way, he has to stop in Clarkston to have two teeth extracted. I had hoped to be with him to drive him home but that is not happening. He will rest in town for a bit before driving home. He is somewhat nervous, as might be expected. Prayer for comfort and ease of surgery, and wisdom on driving home. Thanks.

  2. Ow. Praying.

Cheryl, to answer your question from yesterday about 1st Arrow:

He doesn’t have any follow-up visits he needs to schedule, but I suppose that could change based on his test results. His white count was elevated yesterday, and they rechecked it today, but since the recheck was only a lab visit, he won’t get those results for a while. He needs to take in a stool sample, too, but hasn’t got one yet.

He is feeling a lot better today — no stomach pains or nausea anymore, though he does have a headache today.

Thanks for praying, everybody. I’m hoping this is all resolved by next week. He’s got an important job interview in a distant metropolitan area of the Midwest. (I think I requested prayer on here when he had a Skype interview for the same job last month. That interview went well, and they want to meet him for a face-to-face interview, which is on the 8th.)

Thank you, all, for your past, present and future prayers for him on these fronts.

  3. Son’s white cell count is back to normal today, he just learned. Probably some virus yesterday. And no need to take in a stool sample, they say now, as long as he continues to feel well like today. He’s going to stop taking the anti-nausea med he was prescribed yesterday, and hopefully he’ll continue feeling good.

    Thank you for praying.
