Prayer Requests 2-27-16

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 111

¹Praise ye the Lord. I will praise the Lord with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation.

The works of the Lord are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein.

His work is honourable and glorious: and his righteousness endureth for ever.

He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the Lord is gracious and full of compassion.

He hath given meat unto them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of his covenant.

He hath shewed his people the power of his works, that he may give them the heritage of the heathen.

The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure.

They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness.

He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name.

10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.

  1. My husband and I spoke further this morning, and I am filled to overflowing with praises to God for the restoration He has brought. Together, hubby and I worked to clarify where each of us was at, and he has apologized for the actions that led to my hurt. We are walking in unity on all things, including the matters of my outside relationships, both online and off-. All is good.

Thank you for your many, heartfelt prayers. They carried me through one of the most difficult periods of my life.

  2. I tend to keep my mouth shut and ignore things when what I really need to do is confront an issue. I need to speak up about something later today and I really don’t want to do it.
Please pray that I can do it and do it propertly

  3. Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the ways You have of working things out. Thank You for helping in 6 Arrows situation.

I trust that You will be helping Kim to speak truth into a situation she needs to address. Please give her just the right words, just the right approach.

Thank You for the beautiful weather here in Atlanta. I pray for safety for all the candidates various travels and events. May all remain healthy and be appreciated by those in attendance. I pray for no rude or violent people to cause any type of disturbance for either Republicans or Democrats. Please keep our nation safe from acts of terrorism. Our security has been weakened by some who are in high places of authority within our nation, you You are the higher authority. I look to You as our One True source of good against evil. Praise be to You!

I also pray for the one of Your choosing to win the primaries on both sides. I ask that You would take down the prideful ones and leave the ones who honor You, above all, standing.

    In Jesus’ name, Amen

  4. Hopefully it is obvious that my “likes” for Kare’s & Kim’s posts indicates prayer. 🙂

My own husband is feeling very poorly tonight. He was inordinately cold this afternoon, which is often an indication that he is going to have the chills, & maybe a fever, in the night. It doesn’t help that he hasn’t gotten enough sleep the past three nights, & that he is still fighting that cough (so am I).

Please pray he gets over this quickly, & that he has the wisdom to stay home from church tomorrow if he is sick. Thank you.

  5. We have a bunch of sickies in this house. Everyone but Emily (who only had a brief cold) has a cough that doesn’t want to let go (although it is getting better little by little for Lee & me) & Lee is achy throughout his body. Forrest’s cough has been getting worse, & he’d had a high fever a couple days ago. He also is having trouble again hearing us clearly. 😦

This poor kid. He has gotten one bad cold after another. He hadn’t even gotten over the last one before the new one started.

Emily must be so frustrated. One of the reasons she breastfed him for so long (three years plus) was for the good effects to his immune system. She has encouraged him to play in dirt & has had him on probiotics from time to time (again, to bolster his immune system), & yet he seems to have a pretty weak immune system. Emily, on the other hand, has a pretty strong immune system, & rarely is sick for long.

With Forrest bringing all these viruses home from school, I usually catch them, too, & sometimes Lee catches them. This winter has been mild weather-wise, but bad for colds. 😦

  6. Prayer for eighteen year old who continues to bite the hands that feed her. She did not let anybody know where she was for several days, texted her sister that her boyfriend does not want her to tell where she is. We know where she is and have been in contact with her. We will be available to her if she ever needs us, but for now, she needs to stop using the family and lying to us. Prayer for wisdom on whether she needs a rescue or to be left alone. Prayer for the Spirit of God to speak to her. Prayer that she will know she is loved. And prayer for all of us to let her make her choices and not shoulder the blame. Eldest daughter is having a tough time with that, thinking she has failed. I just remind her that that is what all parents get to experience. We cannot hold onto the blame for our children’s decisions. Thanks.
