Good morning. Tomorrow, I am traveling to NYC with my almost sixteen year old daughter, (dob: 9/12), Lindsey. We will be there through Sunday. Please pray the trip goes well and that I remember all the necessary details. I’m a tad anxious as I haven’t traveled without Scott in a long time,. He always takes care of all the nitty-gritty details –leaving me to just come along for the ride. I keep reminding myself that I somehow managed to travel through Mexico for three months, alone, when I was 26, without incident. (Except when I was leaving the country and realized I’d lost the important piece of paper that was given to me on the airplane upon arrival. El policia attempted to extort money from me… I ended up giving them about $50.00–which was almost every dime I had at that point!). Anyway–prayers would certainly be appreciated!
Have a great time, Ann. I took my 14 year old to the Big Apple, along with a friend and her daughter, and it was the beginning of the big thaw in our relationship. The five days were fun– we told the girls they were in charge of the subway rides and we didn’t care if we got lost, and they figured it out perfectly. Contrary to stories, New Yorkers can be helpful!
One of my sons is having some worrisome and peculiar medical issues. He’s been tested several times and comes back normal, but the problems continue and are scary to this mama. Imagination, wisdom, ideas and impetus if he needs a third opinion. Thanks.
The day has arrived!!!!
BG is 18 today. No trip to New York for us. I did make reservations at the restaurant of her choice.
It will be BG, Aunt R, Nephew, Niece, Dad, Fiancee’ and Grandson, Mr. P and me, Should be interesting if nothing else.
Do I have a birthday present? No. Not yet.
Do I have a cake ordered? No. Not yet.
Please continue to pray for Forrest. He is getting better about going to school, but still having a hard time with it.
On a positive note: His teacher says he is good about listening & doing what he is told. Of course, sometimes she has to get his focus back on task, but he listens. The principal gave him a book to keep, because he was “caught caring”. (We’re not sure what he did, but it makes us smile.)
I thought of Chas and Elvera, in husband’s absence. He left us a dish of lasagna and some roast and some split pea soup to see us through in his time away.

the ground is wet outside, though I did not hear any rain. We will take all the moisture we can get. So nice to at least let the dust settle.
