¹Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.
2 As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.
3 But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.
4 Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name Jah, and rejoice before him.
5 A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.
6 God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.
7 O God, when thou wentest forth before thy people, when thou didst march through the wilderness; Selah:
8 The earth shook, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God: even Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel.
9 Thou, O God, didst send a plentiful rain, whereby thou didst confirm thine inheritance, when it was weary.
10 Thy congregation hath dwelt therein: thou, O God, hast prepared of thy goodness for the poor.
11 The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.
12 Kings of armies did flee apace: and she that tarried at home divided the spoil.
13 Though ye have lien among the pots, yet shall ye be as the wings of a dove covered with silver, and her feathers with yellow gold.
14 When the Almighty scattered kings in it, it was white as snow in Salmon.
15 The hill of God is as the hill of Bashan; an high hill as the hill of Bashan.
16 Why leap ye, ye high hills? this is the hill which God desireth to dwell in; yea, the Lord will dwell in it for ever.
17 The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: the Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place.
18 Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the Lord God might dwell among them.
19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.
20 He that is our God is the God of salvation; and unto God the Lord belong the issues from death.
Janice – Thank you for your prayer this morning on the weekend prayer request thread.
Unfortunately, Emily got sick last night, with vomiting & … well, something from the other end, too. Poor girl. She started getting sick early in the evening, & the last time she threw up was around 5am. She stayed in her bathroom much of the night. Then she had to go to court this morning.
Today there is another hearing on the child support matter. Last time, less than a month ago, R didn’t have all the paperwork he needed to prove that he is too mentally ill to work. But last week, he told Emily that he just got a job. So I don’t know what’s going to happen. Emily doubts he’s ever going to pay child support, even if he can afford it. (He’s told her he won’t, but maybe with the force of the court behind it, he’ll change his mind. We’ll see.)
Skyped with Hill this morning. Can you pray for her regarding some decisions: renting an apartment, buying a car, finding another person to help her with missionary work. Lots of spiritual warfare going on, of course, and I’d say she’s feeling alone and pressed to see God’s hand.
Emily is back from court. Still no determination on child support, because R claims he doesn’t know how much he’s going to be paid. (He said that the last time he got a job, too – the one he quit the week after being told to pay Emily a certain amount each week.)
Emily says R keeps “bringing stuff up”, trying to say bad stuff about Emily or her boyfriend, which takes up time, but the judge seems to see through him (thank God). Then he harasses her as she’s walking to her car. 😦 Because he didn’t have that info about his pay, they have to go back in two weeks. This is getting ridiculous.
Poor Emily. She is still feeling somewhat nauseated, & now has a fever, as well as feeling very tired, but will have to go to class tonight, because there is an important test tonight (finals).
I don’t mean to sound like a baby, but I am scared about getting this virus. Emily was so very sick last night, & I tend to get things harder than the girls do.
Still praying it will pass me by, but even more so that it will pass by my husband.

We’re visiting in three weeks, which may help.
