Prayer Requests 1-20-14

Anyone have a request or praise to share?

Psalm 1

¹Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

  1. I have a praise. Several weeks ago, I asked you to pray for provision for my parents to replace the vehicle that got totaled just after Christmas. Well, my father found another van and purchased it, but it was considerably over the amount the insurance gave for the totaled van. My parents thought they would just have to pay off the balance with credit over the next few months. Well, yesterday, they were given an anonymous gift that will cover the difference.

This is the second time they have seen the Lord provide for their vehicle. Four years ago, when their 13 year old vehicle finally bit the dust, they received a call from a dealership to come and get their car – someone else had paid for it and completed the paperwork. Again, it was anonymous and to this day, we don’t know who did it.

Hubs has had a flu shot this year, but this morning he was running a fever. He has been really run down recently. It has me worried. Please pray for him on several levels.

  3. Dr, Kim has prescribed that Hubbykins go sit in the sun and get some fresh air, even if he has to wrap up in a blanket. It always makes me feel better, except for the year I had pneumonia and couldn’t get out of my own way to get outside.
