Prayer Requests 12-4-13

Who has a request or praise to share?

And since it’s Wednesday, don’t forget our friends in The Gambia. 🙂

Psalm 107:1-15

¹O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;

And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.

They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.

Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.

Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.

And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.

Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.

10 Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron;

11 Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most High:

12 Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and there was none to help.

13 Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.

14 He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.

15 Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

  1. Lord, we pray this day that you would attend to the needs of all the people in the Gambian compound where Phos and Alisun work. We ask for patience for all, diligence for those in need and that truth would be revealed even as you are glorified.

    We ask you would put your hedge of protection around the spiritual lives of the believers there and give them a refreshed and renewed joy as the celebration of Jesus’ birth nears.

    Watch over them, strengthen them, fill them with your peace and give them laughter.

    In Jesus’ name. Amen.

  2. Amen.

    We also pray for Jo to be creative and wise in presenting the wonderful story of Christ’s incarnation—of Immanuel, “God with us!” to her students. Let these children have a new excitement and joy over this wonderful, true story. Let all these servants of yours be strong lights to lead others to the Light of the World.

  3. please pray that my back will heal quickly. Things started hurting yesterday. Luckily I felt some soreness last week so quit doing the one machine in the weight room. I find the real pain seems to show up a week after I injure myself. Praying for wisdom in listening to my body.
