Prayer Requests 11-29-12

Who can we pray for today?

Psalm 18:30-32

30 As for God, his way is perfect:
    The Lord’s word is flawless;
he shields all who take refuge in him.
31 For who is God besides the Lord?
And who is the Rock except our God?
32 It is God who arms me with strength
    and keeps my way secure.

  1. Cool that nobody has any prayer requests. Life is so perfect that we can just praise God all the time instead of asking for things.
Okay, got one. Our sixteen year old who is madly in love with our fourteen year old (who is more like a nine year old) and has professed to wanting help with her battle, is struggling. She is one who drops into depression whenever she is found doing something wrong. We called her on spending too much time too close to the other child. He is still healing from his damages and needs time before she burdens him with her love but he does not know it. Anyway, she is fighting hard to lean on God so please pray for her to find her strength in Him and for us to guide her wisely. Thanks.

  2. Understood, Mumsee, and will pray for help and wisdom. It is a real challenge to raise hormonal teenagers who aren’t biologically related in the same house.

The medical outreach here could use some prayer – it is facing several challenges right now. Pray for wisdom, strength and encouragment.

  3. I just heard of a young woman via fb who is mulling the idea of abortion. She has some physical complications at about 20 weeks. The doctors have suggested either aborting or trying to add days unto the pregnancy. They have told her all the possible complications of early birth, of course. She had a sister born early with problems, so that is part of her thinking. She also has another child at home. She seems to be leaning to abort. Please pray for Ashley to choose what God would want her to choose.

  4. Small children are affected by the moods of their carrying moms. Also pray that the child, if allowed to live, will hold onto her mother’s love and not be damaged by her thoughts of killing the child.

  5. I ask for prayer today because I have been having some pains in my hip, thigh, and knee. It may be related to having more of the nightshade family of plants than I should have. Also someone with whom I work will be having surgery next week. Several people with whom I am close, both family and friends, are having difficulties with things in life right now. Please pray things will work out well for all. I feel a lot of stress as I tend to take to heart the burdens of others. My computer at home still continues to have some issues and makes it difficult to spend much time on the computer without feeling like I am just wasting time trying to get anything posted. Thank you for your prayers. I hope to be back posting some prayers for y’all soon. Blessings to you all, Janice

  6. Prayer for wisdom and more boldness for me as I struggle (and that is the right word!) to witness to a long-time acquaintance who yesterday brought up the subject of faith. I’ve never felt easy in these discussions.

I listen well, but when it comes to the right words, they typically just fail me. I may be seeing her again today, though may not have an opportunity conversationally to “go there” as she will not likely be alone. But perhaps another time soon …

  7. Heavenly Father,

Thank You that we can come to You with our concerns and praise. Thank You that so many on here are willing to share and pray for each other. Thank You that you made us for relationship with each other as well as with You.

Thank You for the wisdom that You give us. Many of us are asking for that today. Please use Your Spirit in us and Your Word in us and your people around us to bring us that Truth.

    In Jesus’ Name,

  8. Update on October 22 long-term prayer request. My husband finished work on the truck he planned to sell, advertised it, and today it is down the road, sold! Our property tax fund is now more than 50% built up. Praise the Lord!
