Even though it’s a holiday, I’m posting this anyway.
The need for prayer seldom takes a holiday, so if you need some please let us know.
Prayers of thanks are nice too, if you feel like sharing one.
Psalm 69:30
30 I will praise God’s name in song
and glorify him with thanksgiving.
Heavenly Father,
Like those Pilgrims of long ago, we give thanks to You for our Salvation. For it is You that we rightly credit with the preservation of both our bodies and spirits through cold winters and hot summers, and through winds and storms and droughts.
We acknowledge that it is You who lead us through seasons of prosperity and seasons of want alike, and that You make all things work together for our good as we learn to love and trust You more deeply, and embrace Your ways more fully. And so this day, we give thanks for Your Presence and Provision, wherever our paths have taken us, whether in pleasant places or harsh circumstances.
We pray You keep us from stumbling spiritually as we train our attitudes to reflect Your mind and will. And grant us insight and Your favor in the marketplace in this coming year, so we may be able to provide for the needs of our families, and others.
Strengthen our hands and knees for the work You have for us, and release Your healing to our wounded bodies and hearts and mind. For it is by the stripes endured by your Son, Jesus, and His gruesome death and glorious resurrection that we are healed, made whole, prospered, and prepared for eternity with You.
In His name we pray,
Amen.

I would appreciate prayer for a little mini class I will be giving today. At the request of six of the children (four not being in the loop and one being the culprit) I have been asked to give a class on smoking. In my research, I have found that in the interest of Obama care being a success, we should encourage smoking and obesity because they cost less from the medical aspect, in the long run. Because they tend to die younger and exit the system. Anyway, open hearts with a willingness toward self application rather than finger pointing at the perp would be nice. We are the temples of the Living God.

Class went well. Just back from a trip to the ER with husband, he was having an out of control asthma attack. Fortunately, the guests had just arrived and the small children were in bed so the guests were able to babysit while we were gone. First time away in many months, what a date. Only to return and help share the news that our son’s sister died a couple of months ago in Ethiopia, just a month after her wedding. He has many precious memories of her raising him the first seven years. So sad. Two years ago, it was their older brother who died. Please pray for His peace as we mourn with those who mourn.
