We’ll be leaving in a few hours for the annual Fellowship Conference in the Ozarks, where there is no Internet, so here are the “Friday” funnies a day early. Enjoy your weekend!
Our pastor does not really engage with us whatsoever. We are not alone. He admits he has a problem and went to counseling for a while. He has those who he does engage with. Why we stay is complicated. We do not sign up for the appreciation month. We are very generous to the church and all the other opportunities to give. I just believe the method of appreciation is wrong, and I hope it is changed for next year. We just got an email that there will be an opportunity to appreciate the pastor this Sunday after church when they will have a light lunch. Perhaps, that will be the end of the other method. Thanks for your responses.
I like what Kizzie wrote that her pastor only mentions Pastor Appreciation after it is passed when he says thank you to all who acknowledged him
We were in the 50s this morning. Refreshing! I saw Pumpk8n the day I cooked a pit of chicken. I think she may have found a more permanent home but still wanders some according to scents drifting in the air.
Morning! Warmish once again but lovely nonetheless!
A Sam’s run this morning in town…supplies for husband and his friend who will climb Mt Whitney next week…I do wish I had his energy…he takes lots of naps…I do not!
Kathaleena I don’t find our young Pastor engaging but my husband does. He is a faithful young man and truly loves the older crowd at our church. But he will walk right past me without a look nor acknowledgment. That could be due to his being very tall and my being short! If it were not for my husband liking this church I would not be attending there…
Janice I am pleased to know Pumpkin still makes occasional visits!! The best part of pet companionship!
Our pastor is around after the service, too. We have a coffee an’ and then a bible study for those who wish to stay. People bring lunches and eat them before the study. We stay and visit with others for a bit, but not for the bible study.

Sorry for typos but I can’t edit after I enlarge to look for errors to correct. Very frustrating.

Before and after service, Pastor N is available to chat with or merely just say hi. (Or goodbye, when leaving. 🙂 )
