  1. Happy birthday, Kevin. I pray you will have many wonderful blessings in your new year of life.

My husband performed yesterday in an assisted living facility. While there, it started raining and never stopped for hours. When we arrived home, we were very surprised to see our SIL still working on our deck! He was in rain gear. It was in the fifties, the wind was blowing and the rain was unceasing. I guess he is used to such when he is fishing in Alaska, and he is in a hurry to be able to get back to TN. The deck is finished except for a few things and the final stain and seal. We shall see if our weather will hold enough for doing that yet this fall. Otherwise, it will have to wait until spring. We never expected to have any of this finished this fall, so we are grateful. It is surely a gift from God, our SIL and daughter.

  2. Happy Birthday Kevin!🎂🎂

What a dear SIL you are blessed with Kathaleena. We still contemplate redoing our small deck but at this point husband believes he will just do it himself. So many have been burned by contractors around here. Now to find the time and motivation!

It is 64 glorious degrees here…autumn has never felt better!

  3. Happy Birthday Little Brother as Mumsee used to say. I hope it was a happy one for you and yours, Kevin.

We have had near record heat. Yesterday it was 96° with 98° as the record. Not quite as hot today but still uncomfortable this late in the year.

Kathaleena, that is such a special gift from your loved ones. I am glad y’all can enjoy it during this season of life. Amazing how he worked through the rain.

Someone up in the country told me that it seems the seeds people planted this year were not good. No pne got anything from their gardens and there was no sharing with others as neighbors have always done. Has it been that way in other areas?
