  1. Good Monday morning! A day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it!

The air had a slight coolness this morning. Inching into fall

I am letting Art sleep late since he did not rest well last night as he still suffers with the cold.

  2. Morning! A cloudy coolish start to this day and cooler temps to come this week. Fall is going to push summer out of the way finally!

Praying for Art’s healing this day…colds are so miserable…

Thanks for posting that link Janice. It prompted a memory of relatives sitting around telling stories which was enjoyable to hear as a kid. It has become a lost blessing in my life and my children were bored with such conversations. Sad.

I went right away and ordered Lovelace’s book Green Rain on Amazon kindle. I think I need that in my life right now!

  3. I loved that link, too, Janice. It is so true about storytelling. I also like the question about sermons. I often wonder who my pastor is preaching to. We, like NJ, have almost exclusively older people. The pastor still seems to concentrate on giving the gospel message mostly. That is important, but not to the exclusion of building others up.

  4. We are blessed to have a wide variety of ages in our church. We had a men’s “steak out” on Saturday. We had 45 men from 18 to 90. It was a nice affair that gave us all time to get to know others outside our age groups. 3 of the older men gave their testimonies, and shared scripture and how God has impacted their lives.

    Iron sharpens iron.

  5. I do get edification from listening in to the Srnior Adult Sunday school )we call it Bible Fellowship). But I really enjoyed my first class when the young married folks were mixed in with the middle age. Then they split out the young married so now everything is split according to ages and stages. It is not how I feel God would want it. It al.ost becomes like three different churches this way with people not have opportunity to get to know the other two thirds of the church
