  2. Yeah, when Cheryl goes to the office, I’m up at 6.

Saw the Dr. at 830. My battle with my A1C continues…

If it goes much higher, the Dr recommends GLP pills, but I’m trying to avoid that.

  3. Another hot smoky day here. New fires break out and the remaining firefighters in the area jump on it! What are people thinking starting a bonfire in the mountains then leaving not extinguishing said fire…yep…they aren’t thinking people!

Making a run into town to purchase last minute things for husband. The Hardrock 100 mile race is still happening even those the mountain behind the course is on fire…he’ll be inhaling a lot of smoke this weekend…but it’s fun he says!!

This is Nj…just noticed Word logged me out and if I hit post it will all disappear…

  4. Those 100-mile races just blow my mind.

Jo, I will ditto the ‘wow’ about the news you got about the watering system. That is wonderful. We got about 2 1/2 inches of rain last night. It is nice not to have to be concerned about fire danger.

  5. God is our watering source and all we need for our yard currently. I am thankful for how He supplies one way or the other! Yes, that is a big blessing, Jo, for the need there in that environment. Think of all the irrigation used to produce all the foods we buy at the grocery stores. Totally amazing how it all keeps flowing.

We have been waiting for hours while Bro is in dialysis. We never know what time we should arrive. Calling ahead to find out does not help. No one ever knows. We have chatted with some of the care team.

  6. We were dry slotted! The storm broke up into two…one to the north of us one to the south!! But the temps dropped 10 degrees and the humidity went up…so there’s that!!

Have everything ready for husband to head off in the morning then I will ship a box of antiques to my nephew’s wife. She has started a small vintage shoppe online and I told her I would be shipping some smalls to her to have fun with. I wished I had loaded up my car when I drove out there but she announced her shoppe online while I was there! Perhaps next time I drive out!

  7. still waiting on a bid so went out to do watering today.

I am afraid that my bites are from fleas. I actually saw one. And yesterday I wondered if I had a spider in my hair. I kept feeling something.

Any advice??? I have no idea what to do

  8. I saw the discussion late yesterday about traveling nurses (yeah, it’s already tomorrow here too) . . . our daughter is one, and she enjoys it. She has to be less than a year in any one place; she’ll get a three- or four- or five-month contract, and so far they’ve always renewed it until they can’t anymore because of that legal limit. But she likes seeing new places, and now she is living near where her boyfriend lives. (We see her once a year for a day or two, and that probably won’t get better if she marries him, and it’s too far for us to travel–my husband because he can’t travel, me because I can’t leave him for long.) Anyway, she enjoys doing it and they make a lot of money.
