Happy anniversary to Peter and his wife, whether on time or late.
There was a frost advisory for today, but I think we were a bit above freezing here. We are almost at normal temperatures.
We are off this afternoon to another assisted living facility. I had to chuckle yesterday when the group got to one of the last songs. The group doesn’t have a set list for these gigs. They just take turns along the line calling out the key. When it got to the man whose turn it was, he asked if he had already sung the song he was considering. He was told yes, so he asked if anyone had done another song and that also had been done. It was kind of fitting for a dementia facility. Humor is essential as you age. These gigs are only an hour long. Some residents would like them longer, but many cannot sit any longer. I feel blessed to be able to help my husband do this.
Our granddaughter received honors for her soccer abilities. She’s only a sophomore, but got 1st team All Conference and the team named her Most Valuable Defensive player.
I realize that when I visited the other day no one mentioned that going through a door I was entering the memory care unit. I didn’t know and should not have left my friend in the lobby. It was a first visit but I needed some information. No sign or instructions
today I need to get a new weed eater. No lawn here. It is all weeds that need to be taken out
God opened up one more option. None are good but this one helps in the short run. Praising Him for just enough light for the step I am on.
Wishing Peter and his Beloved a very nice Anniversary. May Mr. and Mrs. celebrate the date on which they became known as that♡
Please pray that Son can soon be over his cold. One more to take care of . . .
Funny to hear about what you wrote, Kathaleena. Speaking of memory loss . . .
Art and I are in a cycle of my handing him something to read to me since the print is too small. Later I can’t find whatever he read to me. He always states he handed it back to me. I forget if he did or not. I frantically search everywhere I may have put it. I don’t find it. Then I find he has placed it somewhere random thinking he gave it to me. This is our new dance routine. It sometimes involves me pulling my hair up and out!

Thank you! Tomorrow our anniversary will be yesterday, and yesterday it was tomorrow, but today it’s been 44 years.
And today is Friday.

oh and yesterday I called the fire department and could hear them coming the whole way with sirens
my carbon monoxide detector went off and then went off again after I replaced the battery
everything is fine but you are supposed to call 911
