We have had five winds and 17 fires in our county. I think most have been put out or contained. Some evacuations. We will be happy to get rain. The hummingbirds are back and fun to watch.
We have a memorial service for a man who we did bible study with for many years. He has had four kinds of cancer in his body over the last many years. You would have never known it the last time we talked to him, which was a couple of days before he died. He will be missed by many.
A surprise this week was to get a cash refund in the mail from a vending machine company. I lost 2.25 when trying to buy a bottle of water and another0.75 on a pouch of peanuts, so 3.00 total. I was told to call the telephone number on the machine to report it. They got my address and yesterday I received 4.00 from the. I was in shock and awe that they did what they said and it was not stolen along its snail mail path.
Nice, Janice, that they honored their word. I didn’t realize I wrote five winds when I meant high winds.
I am looking forward to relaxing at a local country show this evening. The memorial service was very honoring of the legacy of our friend. He would have been proud of his family.
No hail here today and just enough rain to get the street wet for five minutes! Thankful for every drop coming our way.
Janice such a testimony to our reliance upon our Lord for each and every minute by minute. And thankful your son could be there are a support…maybe you should buy him some water and peanuts with your recovered money! 🙂
HOA meeting was not as lively as one neighbor had suggested it may be…he chickened out and sat there quietly for the most part…it was a silly complaint in the first place…thankful for reasonable minded neighbors prevailing….
Thunderstorms moved in shortly after we returned home from church. Glorious!!! And this forest smells divine.
A friend of husband’s was driving back to CO last night and became stranded in a Walmart parking lot in Nebraska. There was a tornado in their path. Two and a half inch hail destroyed his new van camper!
May you all see some drenching rains soon Kathaleena.
Sweet Pumpkin has obviously missed you Janice! What fun to look up from the kitchen sink and be greeted by such a sweet furry friend!
Sad about the camper. I would not want to be in one with a tornado or hail that size! Rain is predicted (actually storms, but we are not in the worst zone) for today and tomorrow.

It’s a nice day here, so far.
Went out and did some shopping for groceries and gassing up Cheryl’s car. I went early to beat the crowds.

Went up to get Bro’s mail earlier. Perfect weather today. At the hospital now. Son is here so Bro has another caring face in the room.
We are juggling so many balls now. There seem to always be more to learn how to handle.
God gives just enough light for the step we are on in the unknown . . .

I thought surely Pumpkin would have been gone, but Pumpkin showed up in the kitchen window again and has been around for morning breakfast lately.

We had to do a U-turn and take an alternate route as we were driving home last night. There were a whole lot of fire trucks in our way. 😦

Better trucks than fire!

We didn’t get drenching rains last night, but about 130 miles NW of here in Trenton, MO, they got 9 inches of rain. 9 INCHES in one night!!

Art just drove in a drenching rain coming home from the office but it barely sprinkled at our home.
Visiting with Bro now. His hearing ability has declined. Not sure why.
