Morning ! No frigid temps here. Our high will be 75 in the forest higher in town. All of my perennials survived the 15 degree temps the other day! Amazing…
We are supposed to see rain/snow this coming weekend….
Two fox were on the property this AM barking at each other…it was fun to watch!
I got to see a fox today too! I was driving home from a quick trip to the lake to check out the osprey nest, and a fox ran across the road in front of me and down a driveway–I’m guessing it had babies in someone’s backyard. Immediately I thought “Fox!” and then my analytical brain corrected me, “That has to be a dog.” I’ve just never seen a fox trotting quickly (but not really racing) across the street. But it was definitely a fox and a treat to see it. It’s only the second time in my life I’ve seen a fox longer than just a second or two.
Tonight we found out the fox had returned to where she was born last Spring to have her own babes! The kits emerged from underneath the neighbors porch this evening and are rollicking on their front lawn and porch! Cheryl you could have captured some great photos of them! One of the three kits is very dark gray while the other two appear to be red like Mom. 🦊
Good morning. We will start to warm up today. I am sorry for those of you who will now have the frigid temperatures.

It’s much chillier here today, and I don’t mind. 😁
