  1. Why?

Simple, because a portion of the corruption cash always, ALWAYS, makes it back to the politicians who allow it.

“California is responsible for regulating hospice licenses. California’s own auditor called for emergency regulations to crack down on hospice fraud. So far, @CAgovernor has refused to implement them. Why?”

“@USAttyEssayli on yesterday’s arrest of 8 individuals engaged in healthcare fraud in Southern California:

“They’ve not taken fraud seriously for over a decade here in California… Remember, none of this fraud could happen unless California issued these licenses.””

  2. Lol.

It’s shocking that anyone is shocked by this.

“A six month CBS investigation found no evidence that California’s highest in the nation gas prices are the result of price gouging, as state politicians have repeatedly claimed.

Instead, the investigation found those prices are largely the result of California’s own policies.”

“For years, California leaders accused oil companies of price gouging at the pump, but a state investigation found no evidence of that. Instead, a CBS News California investigation found what’s really driving the highest gas prices in the U.S.”

  3. Time for NATO to go the way of the dinosaurs…

“The Europeans are not dealing with “a man.” They are dealing with the United States of America.

The United States needed the most innocuous kind of cooperation from them. They denied the United States that cooperation.

The implied argument is that their obligations within our alliance depend on whether they like the guy we chose as our president. “Sure, we’re allies…if we approve of who you elected.”

    Nope.

We are not going to forget, and we’re not going to forgive. I’m indifferent to their excuses or their rationalizations. The United States of America needed their help and not very much help. They turned us down. That changes everything. And they aren’t going to like how it changes everything.”

    Useless.

And not holding up their side.

“Europe denied American planes their airspace access and it was a major strategic error. The United States has carried the heaviest load in NATO for decades, delivering the real security and resources that keep the alliance viable. All we requested was basic reciprocal privileges in return. This kind of one-sided attitude only erodes the trust that true partnerships depend on. Allies need to show up for each other. 🇺🇸”

  4. Happy Easter – hope everyone spent time with family and/or friends and some turkey or whatever is the usual dish.

Do I need to remind people that NATO is a defensive treaty and not applicable in the case one member decides to attack or invade a country. This isn’t really about Trump — it’s about defence vs offence. But if we are talking about leadership, Bush at least had the sense to cobble together a coalition of the willing before Iraq. Unless this was supposed to be a short Venezuela like operation (naive and optimistic bordering on stupid) , the logistics alone — airfields, hospitals, etc a– ll go through Europe and mean the US should have talked with some Europeans (esp UK and Germany) prior to the attack. Poor planning and hubris. Of course, the Europeans are less cooperative in 2026 as opposed to 2003 given the Greenland debacle. All of this was quite predictable and probably explains the current mess in the Pentagon.
