  1. Hoping you all have a blessed Friday, wonderful weekend and Easter Sunday. We will travel to be with our oldest daughter’s family and hope to see the youngest also and maybe some of those grands.

  2. Janice that sounds like a great source for quality meats and supporting local ranchers. We have a cattle ranch right next door selling beef this fall and many neighbors purchase from them. We don’t eat much beef so it wouldn’t be advantageous for us… 🐄

  3. We don’t eat much red meat, but the eye of round roast I made this week turned out well so I may buy those several times a year. They are so lean. I am glad I found a recipe to fix it dry roasted in my electric roaster.

  4. Here’s a poem (song) I wrote many years ago and updated this year.

    1. Rejoice! Rejoice! The Lord as man came down.
    Rejoice! Rejoice! To shepherds he made known;
    In humble birth,
    He came down to earth.
    Of Him, the angels sing.
    Good news they bring!

    2. Rejoice! Rejoice! Upon the cruel cross;
    Rejoice! Rejoice! They thought He suffered loss;
    But by his blood we win,
    Salvation from our sin!
    That is why He came.
    He bore our shame!

    3. Rejoice! Rejoice! Christ Jesus is alive!
    Rejoice! Rejoice! Behold the empty grave.
    He died and rose again,
    Eternal life we gain!
    We shall all be raised!
    Jesus be praised!

    (I don’t know if that makes it a legal copyright, but I read that can work. Thoughts on that fellow authors?)

  5. I’m shocked to see that not only is there a Robin’s Egg shortage, but the Lindt gold foil wrapped Choc Bunny is now like $7.99.

    And I won’t buy my favorite peanut butter eggs because of my daughter’s allergies.

    🥺

    I will have to console myself with spiral cut ham.

  6. Lots of Robin’s Eggs at King Soopers here!! I saw them today! But there were just about no jelly beans!! Some people having a hoarding problem…they probably hoarded toilet paper during covid too!!

  7. Peter, technically you have a copyright to anything you write; the potential problem is proving it in court. There used to be a suggestion to mail yourself anything you write, and leave it sealed in the envelope. In case of a dispute in court, the postmark could prove that you wrote it before the one asserting ownership.

    We had an interesting case with a book published by the publisher I used to work for. After the author’s death, someone wrote in accusing him of copying a more widely known book, because the two were quite similar. We investigated and found out that the more widely known book had an author who had been our author’s student and had used his professor’s notes to write his book! I don’t remember what book or what author (and I wouldn’t tell you if I did), nor do I know whether anything was ever done about the plagiarism, but it was interesting that it ended up being backward from what the complainer thought it to be.

  8. Oh, and I’m supposed to be off visiting my daughter and her family this weekend. This is the second attempt this spring, and the second called off because her kids are sick. I told her I can do next weekend if they get healthy by then, but otherwise my next chance is in May.
