  1. Good warm afternoon to all the Wanderers. Today feels right for Spring. Cool morning and warm afternoon. Pumpkin skipped breakfast and came by for late lunch. Her black coat still looks thick and shiny. As the weather heats up I expect her fur will thin and look a bit dull.

  2. Oh, my it felt cold out today. The wind is strong and that made the cold really chill the bones.

Taxes are finished and I am so grateful for those who do that important work.

My bible reading has been in the division of the land for the Israelites. This morning I told the Lord I cannot imagine why this is so important for me to know but was open to know. A few minutes later I got a phone text from someone that gave me a pang of jealousy. Immediately, I connected that text, jealousy and my reading about the boundaries God gave the Israelites. (Though they did work in forming them and divvying them up.) I was reminded I need to be grateful for the boundaries God has given me and not about someone else’s. (And for the most part, as the psalmist said, my boundaries have been pleasant.) You just never know how scripture may speak to you with the help of The Holy Spirit.

  3. I’m also in Joshua, but the last three chapters. Which are profound as Joshua and the nation swear to follow the Lord.

  4. I have been in Joshua, too!

Today the Palm Sunday sermon got preempted by continuing the Genesis series, still making our way through it which I am enjoying, but, I guess, I still expected to hear more about Jesus. I know the Old and New Testaments are completely relevant to each other, so I don’t mind the subject. The message was basically about Jacob’s obedience in finding his wife (righteous choice) and Esau’s disobedience (unrighteous choice). To me, it was an odd juxtaposition with Palm Sunday, but it was an excellent sermon.

  5. It went as well as could be expected at my father’s funeral.

But it’s done with. It was freezing, like 34 degrees, so of course some were late so we all stood there way longer than necessary.

    Siblings. 🙄

Funny too, we all remember a very different man.

Then Cheryl and I took my son to lunch, Liz and Isaac were at some previously planned event. That was good, because they would have annoyed and upset her.

Aj I’m thankful you all made it through a difficult day…praying still for you and the family ❣️

  7. I have felt cold today. I had to bundle up to sit outside for an hour or so. Pumpkin kitty came walking up the road and saw me sitting in the chair. She happily hurried over and got up in my lap. I welcomed the warmth. Too bad that the bread she makes does not come fresh out of the oven. She is so petite, but like Kizzie said, she may be one to have a late growth spurt.

  8. Those chapters of Joshua were yesterday. Today there was the promise to follow God, however, the people seemed to have no idea they could not promise that and succeed on their own. People have not changed no matter how far we are from Eden.
