I agree! Spring is here. We had rain off and on yesterday and all through the night. In Buckhead, an uptown area, roads were flooded. A long-term resident (40 years) said he’d never seen the streets flooded like that.
I keep spending a lot of time on the phone with my brother trying to keep him company for his long stay at Hotel Hospital. I am glad I am able to do it.
I have, as of today, finished reading the book of Mark. The two endings of the book for the last chapter are both shown in the NLT. The more recent ending includes a statement by Jesus that one must believe and be baptized to be saved. It was good timing to run into that verse today. I had only yesterday told my brother that my current pastor rejects Max Lucado for his saying that both belief and baptism are necessary for salvation. Now at least I know where that is found in scripture. But I believe other parts of the Bible say only faith and belief are required for salvation.
