Good morning! It is a rainy day here, at least for the morning. I have not heard the full day forecast.
I went to the Dekalb Farmer’s Market this morning, and I never know which nationalities I will encounter there. It is like that with the people who work in hospitals around here. Most workers are not from the USA. At the market, I can always talk to people to get good info on how to prepare foods.
We started the day (unexpectedly) with a couple of fresh inches of snow, but it made it into the 50s by afternoon and little was left of it. I saw my first basking turtles of the year this morning. Haven’t seen any wildflowers yet, but a few tree blossoms, chipmunks, turtles, insects, and lots of singing birds, as well as two nests of eagles and one owl nest, and we’ve had 60 degree weather and we’re headed there again tomorrow, so today I declared it spring. I usually wait till I’ve seen wildflowers, but I’ve seen enough other spring signals to declare it. 🙂

We have bright and sunny, and supposed to hit 50. Maybe most of the snow will melt!

Sunny here, too, right now. We have had light flurries. We are supposed to get high winds in the next days. It is a pretty day.

Another Spring day here with high winds. The mountains are in winter mode so that’s good news…
