A social conservative friend sent me a link on the Rhode Island hockey rink killing. Ex husbands kill their exes and kids every day in North America and he only sends me a link when it’s a trans dad? Selective outrage.
Someone becoming trans in their 30s or later is very rare which indicates a mental breakdown or depression — one doesn’t change their identity that drastically unless there are issues. In your adolescence is understandable but by 30 brain science tells us our personality is more or less settled.
There’s no doubt there’s a contagion effect in mental illness; I can remember when everyone was reporting repressed memories and then later multi personality disorders. I actually think we’ve hit the peak of people reporting as trans — its lost its lustre so to speak.
(Not to say trans people don’t exist — they always have but not nearly as much as being reported now)
The X post on statistics is interesting but we can see that the largest increase is in bisexual. The age gradient is still there but once bisexual is removed it gets rather small and makes sense given the age (18-30) is far more experimental. I found the racial statistics interesting — definitely not the stereotype we’ve been taught; that is, LGBQT is more of a middle class white thing.
AOC was commenting on the origins of cowboy culture not horses. Cowboy culture is an Americas phenomenon especially in Argentina, Mexico and the US. Horses may have come from Europe but not cowboys. I expect “Blaze” to distort but that was really bad and obvious.
Jury nullification is as American as apple pie. Its allowed a white man to shoot a black kid in Florida under the excuse of “felt threatened” and “stood my ground”. The case in Dallas was deadlocked — some believed the man was coerced and others did not; the public prosecutor did not prove otherwise. Not sure how this was a leftist jury nullification — more like prosecutor incompetence or a good defence attorney. Nothing left or right about this case.
