Pro-life journalist Savannah Craven Antao has publicly condemned Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office for dismissing charges against the woman who violently assaulted her during a street interview earlier this year.
Antao, a dedicated conservative voice in the fight against abortion, described the decision as a dangerous endorsement of violence against those who dare to challenge the left.
Rivers was initially charged with felony assault, but after talking with two prosecutors the felony was downgraded to a misdemeanor then dropped altogether.

The attack happened in April, in Harlem, where Antao, working with the pro-life organization Live Action, was conducting a man-on-the-street interview about Planned Parenthood’s practices.
What started as a civil exchange on abortion and foster care quickly escalated when Rivers, 30, of the Bronx, started punching Antao in the face.
The assault, captured on video, left Antao bloodied with cuts that required stitches and an emergency room visit, racking up $3,000 in medical bills.
Antao’s husband stepped in to stop any further harm, and the couple called 911.
Rivers was arrested by NYPD and charged with second-degree assault, a felony that could have carried serious prison time.
Despite video evidence, Bragg’s office downgraded the felony to a misdemeanor after prosecutors interviewed Antao.
Then, the case was dismissed on “speedy trial grounds” — a procedural failure attributed to the DA’s office neglecting to file a certificate of readiness.
Antao learned of the dismissal secondhand, with no explanation or apology from Bragg’s team, leaving her assailant to walk free without consequence.
