  1. A beautiful sun shiny day here. Snow melting. Our Lord is worthy of all our praise now and evermore! ❣️Putting a prayer request on that thread for any who might be willing to join in prayer with me Nj

  2. We had a wonderful weekend staying with our oldest daughter and then all going to the youngest daughter’s home for Easter. The Good Friday service was wonderful. There was a reenactment of Palm Sunday and the crucifixion. The pastor played Jesus, but his face was obscured by a wig, so that you wouldn’t really know. There were actually 3 crosses, and it was quite dramatic.

We were blessed to have our great granddaughter for an overnight visit, as well. Her mom and dad both need prayers.

  3. Good morning! It’s so nice to see your smiling faces (imagined) as I read your comments, NJ and Kathaleena. I smiled back at you while reading.

Our son got to spend the weekend with his girlfriend. Glad it finally worked out. Long distance relationships are complicated. They both have very demanding careers and work responsibilities that make it even harder to schedule time to be together. They have so much in common, it seems like God has made them a good match, however their dedication to their careers seems to me to be a hindrance to the typical progression of such things.

  4. Janice – I don’t know if you have seen my comment to you from last night on the news thread or not, but in case you haven’t, here it is:

~ “DJ’s reference to discernment and truth was not aimed at you, or anyone specifically, that I can see. I understood her comment to mean that we should all be concerned with discernment and truth, no matter which preferred sources we have.” ~

DJ agreed that this is how she meant it.

  5. Our church holds immersion baptisms outside on Easter Sunday. Yesterday it was one adult and six teenagers (1 boy 5 girls).

The oldest teenager, a girl, will be joining the Marines.

I didn’t know her, but as she under the water, I was praying and suddenly overcome with grief.

That was scary for me for her.

Afterward, I made my way through the crowd, introduced myself to her and her family, explained I was a Navy wife who might have a better idea of what she is going into than others.

I asked if I could pray for her.

She bowed her head, her family joined me in laying on hands, and I prayed a blessing over her, asked the Lord to give her discernment, keep her safe, fill her with His presence, and be with her as she moves forward.

    Amen.

    They were all thankful.

I’m still sobered, but thankful I got to pray.

A lovely day for a baptism, for sure.

  6. Janice – I just wanted to make sure you knew that it was not intended the way it seemed to come across to you, especially if you were feeling hurt from that misunderstanding.

That’s the problem with much of online communication. We can think that we have gotten our message across, but it can sound so different to someone else.

  7. I don’t think that comment would have been made by Dj except it related to my comment about agreeing to disagree and about preferred news sources. That is my point of view, and I am sticking with it. We can agree to disagree? Everyone is entitled to their point of view. Nada problem with me. It’s best to drop it.

  8. Flyboy Jr. was born early last Wednesday to Mr and Mrs Flyboy. Everything went well and they were home the next day. Mrs B and I are very happy first-time grandparents.

  9. And that is exactly why I suggested the so-called “news” (or rather the one-sided rant) thread is posing the danger of bringing down what is left of our fellowship. It’s why I suggested a change might be considered to salvage what is left.

  10. I didn’t get to go to church on Easter as I had to work. 😦 But husband and dad went so I did get some vicarious enjoyment of the festivities. Apparently the building was packed. I love Easter. It’s what makes everything worthwhile possible.

We didn’t have people over this year. Husband and I mostly piddled in the garden. I did plant a rose bush which I have been wanting to do for several years.

    • Or, it might keep her close to the house guarding it.

The last time I planted catnip, it got loved to death pretty quickly and I had drunken cats lolling around in my backyard.

      Just sayin’.
