Those flowers are hanging on for Easter although the color is gowing fainter with the passing days. I found an old part of a baker’s rack in the neighborhood and set it up as a little structure for them to climb on.
We went to the best Good Friday service at our large Church of the Apostles which is across town from where we live. The service was televised on Christian television worldwide since the pastor has a major outreach. It will bless you to watch it if you can:
Good morning, all. A comfortable forty three here, with heavy clouds. Husband is off to a men’s prayer breakfast. We are here doing our usual Saturday.
Thank you, Janey. Church of the Apostles is one of the most magnificent churches I’ve visited in the US. The art collection on the walls (local painters, not the great masters as in Europe), was riveting.
I was nearly late to speak I got so engrossed! LOL
We had another non-soul satisfying service at the little church we’re attending. I’m currently listening to a wonderful modern tenebrae a friend sent me from her Presbyterian church in Tucson.
I’m singing along and so happy.
Meanwhile, here’s my blog post “Holy Saturday, now what?”
19 degrees and icy roads. We are seeing a couple inches of snow instead of the predicted 5-8
I tried to grow clematis but do not have enough sun for them to flourish. My neighbor across the road has a perfect sunny spot and I spy her colorful flowers usually in late summer. Nj
I am shivering, NJ, thinking of your weather. We are supposed to be one degree below the record today, close to 90°.
I may bring my leftover Chicken Picata and asparagus from Carabas Restaurant for my lone Easter meal, but it will probably not last through today. I brought some home for Art, and he loved it, too.
Grilled asparagus is a great side dish for Easter.

I meant to comment on the last flower–it was really gorgeous–but I’m not sure if I ever did. These are lovely as well.

What are you bringing for Easter dinner?
I think we’ve got holes to fill . . . 18 coming for dinner.

I bought three pounds of asparagus at Costco yesterday. My husband doesn’t know, yet, that he’s grilling. 🙂

Happy Resurrection Day!
I’ve already been outside listening, in first light, to birds singing to God’s glory.
