Our pastor is extremely weak and now has a bed sore. He has been up a couple of times, sitting in a recliner. He is awake, but still being fed by tube until he can have a swallow test on Monday.
Our young friend, Chloe, is getting oxygen. She was given a room in the ICU in the local hospital to her mom, so we are thankful for that.
It went very well – God’s Spirit moved powerfully. Thank y’all for your prayers!
I had a chance to quickly skim through Michelle’s link just before heading out to church – in today’s message I did include the fact that Nineveh is present-day Mosul. There are some good tidbits there, and I look forward to perusing it further. Thanks, Michelle!
My oldest sister-in-law ended up in the hospital this week with what turned out to be a really bad case of the flu. My brother said this afternoon that she is back home and doing better, but still very weak. He said she is “out of danger” and then added, “We think.” Yesterday I attended a funeral of a man who had the flu with pneumonia; this year’s flu seems unusually treacherous.
Please pray for me as I prepare to preach tomorrow from Jonah chapters 3-4, “Surrendering to God’s Purposes in the World.”

Praying pastor will go Home quickly, or recover quickly, but confident God has His purposes.
praising for Chloe.
Praying Tychicus, for words to speak and ears to hear, may God be glorified as His people come to know Him better.

Praying alongside, Mumsee. Asking God to provide His best answers for each situation.
Praying for those who feel hurt by the politics of the day. May they reach out to God for comfort and to find their best way forward

Do you know WHY Jonah stayed in Ninevah, Tychicus?

ISIS blew up his tomb in 2017. Jonah’s, not Tychichus’ 😉
