Rain is beginning shortly and predicted to last for a week. My allergies are already so bad that I’m hoping that the rain will clear the air. Maybe I shouldn’t have done leaf blowing and raking yesterday
We started out at 60° at 8 a.m. Rain was predicted by noon so I went out for my first morning walk at 10:30. Amazing! The birds were singing glory to God. I saw a few other ladies out walking. Definitely different from the after work dog walkers I am familiar with. Much more peaceful with not having to dodge rush hour traffic. But at the same time, I felt a bit more isolated since many are at work during the day.
Hope that’s holding true, Jo, on this cold, rainy, gray day.
I’m making brownies . . . I filled the vegetation bin yesterday, as soon as the trash trunk emptied it, by heading to the yard and picking up branches and lopping off excess limbs from my neighbor’s yard (they’re hanging over the fence).
With all these self-righteous feelings, I’m back to cooking, cleaning, and research!
Oh, and basketball tonight with rhythmic gymnastics tomorrow.
It’s a great life.
God is good. All is well in our world–at the moment. 😉
It’s been an exciting day so far. I took Dad to a Hardee’s for breakfast (he goes every week day) . I was expecting to meet a couple of local relatives who had not seen Dad on his birthday. Instead and the whole place filled up with our relatives coming to eat together and fellowship and again celebrating Dad’s birthday. We had relatives who drove up from Florida and several hrs away inTN just to see Dad. Of course we took over the whole place. Strangers were laughing and celebrating with us, talking with Dad and taking pictures of us all. We were there for 2 full hours. Dad is home now taking a little nap.
Everyone is hoping for a super big 100th celebration next year. But we all know we are not guaranteed another day. Dad is the last of his generation in my family—the middle child of 11, and the last one left. They all look at him and see their mothers and fathers in his distinct features. We are blessed.
I felt tearful in a good way reading about your exciting morning, Debra. Such a beautiful family!
It’s quite dreary with the rain today Thankful God prompted me to walk earlier, so much out of my routine. I awakened sleeping dogs in backyards!
I thought some Senate hearing might be on C-Span which I have not watched in ages. Instead I caught the new Press Secretary doing an admirable job with all those trying to get her attention. Now there is a balancing act! Juggling all questions flying at her!
I’m going to high school basketball games this evening. My great nephews play for the visiting team, so I’ll root for them. Of course, the son of some local friends plays for the home team, so I’ll root fo him. His younger sister play on the girls’ team, so I’ll catch that game, too.
There was another water main break here, the pipe was 108 years old. It was on Peachtree Street, the main drag in Atlanta, in exclusive Buckhead. A geyser, 30 feet high along with street flooding added to the excitement.
Debra I read your post with joyous tears. The Lord is so so good!!!❣️
We had over 10 inches of heavy snow yesterday. Dug out today and ran errands. I bumped into two precious friends while at the grocery. Such a blessing!
Sorry.
Left early for PT and forgot to post first.

Good morning, all. A beautiful day here. Currently thirty eight, windy, rainy, snow expected this afternoon. No dad walk yet.
my dad assistants have ramped up their busyness, so I have moved my exercise from upstairs to the living room.

What has happened in Philly? Is AJ okay? Sketchy news about a plane crash?
