  1. Good morning, all, from beautiful rain drenched Idaho.

Today is our community Thanksgiving feast. Husband spent Thursday roasting four turkeys, which were taken in yesterday for deboning, along with the other eight turkeys. The children stayed and helped with set up before crossing town to help a n elderly couple by carrying in their bags of pellets from the garage to the house. Today husband and son and son out law and two grandchildren will go in to see where they can be of service in final set up.

  2. Morning! Snow is melting in these warmer temps just in time for more to fall this week. Somehow seems fitting for the season.

We are hoping to gather with dear friends on Thanksgiving barring difficult travel due to the predicted snow. I will take a veggie casserole and a sweet potato casserole.

I won’t be eating much of the food though. Since my surgery in April food does not appeal to me. I will take coffee with me!☕️

  3. Cleaned the house then ran into town to pick up last minute things for Thursday. Stopped at the Senior Center thrift store and found the cutest bubble glass vase.

The mail lady had messed up on the mail yesterday placing someone else’s mail in my slot. I was supposed to receive two boxes which neither appeared! When I drove into the neighborhood she was at the mailbox shelter so I stopped to rescue my boxes. She had both of them in her Jeep with no mail locker left to place them in…they were all full! fortuitous timing it was!

While I was at the mailboxes my neighbor texted to see if I could go to the Christmas Craft show in the Springs with her. Got home, dropped off my stuff and hit the road again! Such an unexpected fun filled day. Now to unbox my wool and my pasta!

  4. Thanksgiving:

    I will praise the name of God with a song;
I will magnify him with thanksgiving.
This will please the Lord more than an ox
or a bull with horns and hoofs.
    Psalm 69:30-31 (ESV)

  5. Tonight I am thankful for tow trucks. We were heading to see our grandson in a school play when the oi light came on in the minivan. Oil was leaking out, probably because when I changed the oil I didn’t get the filter tight enough.

We missed the play but the tow truck driver brought us home after dropping off the van at the shop.

  7. Good morning all. A beautiful day to be here. My dad is not up yet. Yesterday he started going to bed at two in the afternoon. Got up shortly later, disappointed to hear it was not yet Sunday. Repeat five times.

  8. In Sunday school, the teacher asked for some to share their anchor verses they rely on during hard times. Several shared and he needed one more verse. I shared one I recently learned, Romans 12:12 “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulations, be constant in prayer.” As it turned out, that was the verse the teacher was sharing himself. That was cool. It is such a short and concise verse, but covers much of the Christian way of life when we are at our best.

  9. We love tow truck rescuers. Still remembering the tow truck that came to rescue us and had a problem so a really big tow truck came to pick that one up while another came for us.

Also the time in Waco when we accidentally ended up stuck on a train track and a train was coming in the distance. That was the absolute best tow truck rescue we’ve ever had among the many.

  10. I had my Thanksgiving meal today at church. I helped hand out the meals for the senior social event. It was nice to do some service instead of having people usually helping me. It was nice to feel useful. When we were done, they let us eat too. So I got my turkey and mashed potatoes. Even brought home some pumpkin pie which I must eat tonight, for the fasting and cleansing begin tomorrow after lunch for Tuesday’s surgery. The soonest I will get solid food again will be Friday.

I will post tomorrow, and then no new posts until I’m released, hopefully Friday or Saturday.

As usual, Mumsee is in charge, so behave.

  11. such a strange day. Tried to do my laundry but the machine was locked. So frustrating. Finally figured it out several hours later.
have you ever needed to move something around on the floor and just shoved it with your foot? Turns out when you have a bum leg that is not a good thing to do.
    but I have been walking.
laundry just finished so talk to you all later
