Kevin asked for a reminder, and I think I have the dates down right.
Oct. 31 is AJ’s tube replacement and Nov. 26 is his surgery. He gets to do two holidays that way! Prayers for you, AJ.
The transfer of children from the old hospital to the new begins at 7 a.m. tomorrow. Last night Art and I went out to dinner and drove on two of the nearby roads to be used. Tree trucks were still blocking lanes, but the fallen trees had been cut so nothing of the debris was blocking the roads. Thank you for praying for the transport of that precious cargo.
Prayer for those who have been so impacted by this hurricane and the crews handling the immediate cleanups; also for the families who lost loved ones and/or are facing financial devastation from this as well. 😦
Praying for just ends to the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East.
Boy said that he was going fishing, to a place kind of nearby that he likes to go, but has been gone for over three hours. He is never gone that long. Nightingale drove down there to look for him, and he is not there. We have no idea where he is, and his phone is dead. Please pray.
He says that he did go fishing, but at a place farther away than usual. (Which is where Nightingale finally found him.) And he says that he didn’t realize that his phone was turned off. His mom is still angry, though, that he didn’t pay more attention about his phone, and probably also that he went somewhere she didn’t expect.
Just seeing this in the a.m. on Sunday. So glad to see the resolution right after reading about the scare concerning boy. So sorry to hear y’all had to deal with that, Kizzie.
It’s a good time to prepare plans so there won’t be a scare like that in the future. Glad he had a good time fishing. Did he learn a lot about it in Scouts? There must be a Fishing badge, but though our son earned Eagle scout, I don’t think he had a badge in Fishing.
Janice – I think either his dad or grandfather introduced him to fishing. Now he has his own gear, and we often have a container of worms in the fridge. 🙂

Apparently, he told Nightingale that he caught a lot of fish, which could be why he stayed out there so long. (It’s catch-and-release fishing.)

Children just don’t get the scare parents get when things like that happen. Glad all is well.
